  1. I'd love that matchup. We might just hold LSU to negative total yardage. Unfortunately, our likely opponent (if we won the Big 12) would be the worst team available. Meaning, unranked Big East Champ, here we come! We are going to destroy 'Cuse!
  2. Don't worry about the facemask, they will suspend Crick for the game next week.
  3. Missouri gets the first 3rd down conversion of the game (FOR EITHER TEAM). Missouri wins. 6:46 AM, I'm going to bed.
  4. I guess we failed at the beginning of the game and said we wanted to kick instead of deferring.
  5. '97 was my favorite. I was 9 at the time. I remember going out on the balcony and celebrating as loud as I could before overtime started.
  6. Typical scene after a visit from the Husker offense
  7. Lincoln, NE (BO) - After a rash of incidents involving several players on the Nebraska Cornhusker offense, local Lincoln bars have decided to enact a citywide ban on their patronage. It all started about midway through the 2009 football season, when the players began to bring their questionable ball handling skills off of the field and into the bars. "I just can't afford it anymore," says Bob T. North, a local bar owner. "You should see this place afterwards, broken glass everywhere. No one else has any problems handling the glasses, it's not like we do anything different to theirs." It has become so much of an issue that one recently opened bar had to close after only 10 days of business. Brew and Chow Saloon opened its doors on Thursday, October 7th. "Business was great that first night. When I look back at it now, it was probably because the offense was out of town," remarked owner Nate C. Al-Alexson. Oddly enough, the bars located in cities that the Nebraska offense visits seem to be mostly unaffected by this problem. Steve O'Sark, owner of Seattle bar Seiksuh, had a mostly positive experience when the Huskers rolled into his bar. "Sure, Cody Green dropped his first two beers before he had even taken a sip, but other than that the night was incident free." The stories coming from bar owners in Manhattan, KS were largely similar. "The offense showed up in my bar and started buying round after round for everyone in the bar. I think I saw one glass get dropped, but it magically bounced back up into another player’s hands," claimed bar owner Billy Snydah. Broken glasses aren't the only issues plaguing bar owners in the Husker offense rolls in. "Sometimes they even have trouble paying for their drinks," said Bob T. North. "The issue isn't whether they have the money; it is whether they can put it in your hands. Many times they just drop it on the bar and look at it for a while before someone swoops in and picks it up," he continued, "One time I saw them collecting all of their money to buy a bunch of drinks at once and the player carrying it up to the bar dropped it before he had even taken two steps. Sure enough, a Texas player swooped in and picked it up. The Texas player walked out of the bar with it and decided to spend it ay a different bar, do you know how much that cost me?" he asked. Some bar owners are considering selling their bars and opening new ones in other Big 12 locations. "I'm trying to open a new bar in Stillwater, OK before next weekend," remarked Nate C. Al-Alexson. "I'm sure it is going to be a record day for the taverns of Stillwater next weekend and I might be able to rebound from my failed Lincoln bar." For now, no one knows when the ban will be lifted. The only thing they know is that they can't afford to provide service to them until they take some serious steps to fix their issues.
  8. Fumbles! Dropped passes! Bad reads! Bad snaps! Failed onside kicks! It's the footballs we use. For evidence, I submit these two photos. The football for our offense Notice how beat up our football is. It's gotta be slippery. The Texas football Look at that thing. It is like brand spankin' new. We lost because of the football. End of argument. Send someone out to Scheel's to buy us some new footballs for next week.
  9. 7:26 AM on Sunday October 17th. Time of death for my hopes of a comeback.
  10. Should have put CG in for that last series, he has experience in that situation.
  11. The name of the eventual user of the ticket is not needed. They just put a sticker on it that says it's validated. The sticker allows anyone to use the ticket (even if they do not have a NUID).
  12. Dave Ubben's Alternate Universe (DUAU for short) Big 8 actually changes it's name to the Big Eight (words look more academic than numbers) and adds the Big Ten (because Eight is more incorrect than Ten). In DUAU Big Eight, there are 19 teams, so there is difficulty splitting the divisions. To solve this problem, the loser of the DUAU Big Eight Championship Game gets claimed by the winners division and the winner sends a team of their choice over to the other division. Whatever that means, it's probably still a fact.

My favorite Texas player is John Gold. If you don't know who he is, you will learn on Saturday.
  14. I was referring to the actual video portion. Once Callahan came on I stopped the video. Also, I agree, the Tunnel Walk last year was pretty good. But I still prefer the 2006 version over the main tunnel walk last year. 2006 Tunnel Walk + epoc's "In The Deed The Glory" video would be great. I little bit more on topic, I think I have seen enough of the :01. It won't make me angry anymore. I will always be happy to argue with anyone about whether or not I think the second should have been added back (I, of course, do not, no matter how many times a member of the media says it was right). I just don't really get pissed about it anymore. I used to change the channel when the ESPN3 commercials came on. But now that the new season is fully underway, I think I'm over it. Maybe this whole thought of leaving the Big 12 as conference champs is soothing that. Let's leave this damn conference without a defending champ!
  15. I'll throw a video out. 2006 vs Texas Tunnel Walk video. The 2006 Tunnel Walk was the best I have ever seen. They were so intense: dramatic music, well placed highlights, players stories, "I play for Nebraska", and Keith Jackson to end it. I could watch this one over and over. I wouldn't mind if they used this same template forever.
  16. From what I have seen, they aren't really much of an offense either. Yea, they scored a lot, but against who? With how we play on the road, we will absolutely destroy them.
  17. Maybe they will make the east balcony a bit deeper. They won't be moving anyone's seats, so they probably will be building the newer seats as an expansion on the current balcony. How many rows would they need to add 2000 there? 10-15? Even if you double the number of rows in the balcony, they are still closer to the field than people in the top of the end zone sections.
  18. Correction, 4:30 in the morning...on a Sunday. That's what time I will be tuning in. Though, I would like to complain and say that an 11am (1am here) or 8pm (10am here) kickoff work MUCH better for me. Also, had it been an 11am kickoff, I would've been showing it on the projector at a local foreigner bar. My city has a significant Big Ten slant, so there would be plenty of people rooting for the Huskers (along with the 3 known Husker fans).
  19. That wasn't wet. That was under water. Very true I thought we were going to have to rent a boat to get back to Liberty That was a very miserable night for 3 quarters. I dropped $150 on two tickets. I had to stand in the pouring rain for 3 quarters while the offense pretended to have the swine flu....I earned that damn 4th quarter! I was also at KSt two years ago. My brother and I were walking around the stadium before the gates opened and we were offered 2 free tickets by some KSt fans. I had actually purchased my two tickets for that game for about $60 after shipping on ebay. If I were still in Nebraska, I would be at this game too. I will be up at 8am and all prepped up for kickoff at 8:30am. Korea is really a pain when it comes to watching CFB.
  20. Well, I know there won't be anything that I want to read on this forum during the next week and a half. CYA everyone.
