  1. The future is there though. The wins and championships are on their way. There's just a vibe about it. People get down about life and think that the entire team sucks because the offense is getting dragged down by a bad seed, but really we're one decent QB from a Big 12 North Championship, at least. Everyone is being too hard on Bo. He is getting the wrath of the "Oh, no. Here we go again." Once Lee is benched and Green gets in, the offense will become better. True, he is a freshman, so he wont be the greatest QB ever this season. However, he is the future of the program and anything besides Lee at this point is as good as a win. I also think that Johnson is a great coach. Coming into this season, many people said that GT couldn't do it again, that their offensive success was solely gimmick, but they've played and dominated major opponents yet again. Not to mention he has the Dr. Tom stamp of approval.
  2. Win. Although I don't fault the guy for trying to do something. Something has to change, that's a fact.
  3. I think Bo's Top 10. Look at what he's done with our defense. All people want to talk about is the offense, but look at Bo's specialty. We've gone from #112 in scoring D to #2 in two years. The offense is lagging, but honestly, that's mostly due to Callahan's sh#t recruiting and even worse, nearly nonexistent, walk-on program.
  4. How far we are from the elite of college football? I say we're one substitution and one year away. You all know who I'm talking about. I'm starting to feel like a broken record. Just check the avatar if you still don't know.
  5. Yeah. Dr. Tom ran his way into many 3-and-outs early in games because he knew it would pay off later. By the end of those games guys were getting 5-10 yards per carry, consistently.
  6. Wow. Now to your point. You know Bo is a defensive specialist right? He's the head coach, but he is basically in charge of defense. He does need to put his foot up Watson's ass to try to get stuff going, but he doesn't know enough about offense to replace a collegiate level offensive coordinator.
  7. I can think of one more castoff you can have if you'd like. He doesn't belong on the same field as Nebraska either, plus he has some starting QB experience. Also, Ebyl is right. There's a difference between ribbing and being a penis.
  8. Exactly. He needs to bench Lee, but if Lee is in there, then his playcalling is limited severely. Perhaps he doesn't think Green is ready yet. I don't think that should matter since we're starting a guy who was never ready in the first place.
  9. Seriously. Every time I see a press conference for any sporting event, especially with Nebraska and Bo Pelini (as I watch NU conferences more since I give somewhat more of a crap about what the Nebraska media and the coaches talk about) I have to wonder aloud, "Why do they pay these guys?" These are the "qualified" personnel that are so highly sought after by press organizations everywhere? Give me a break man. It says something about Bo's patience that he hasn't jumped across the table, run into the crowd, and gone Nolan Ryan vs. Robin Ventura on the idiot reporter.
  10. What's with the Helu-hating? He shouldn't have been out there this week with a stinger that obviously affected him, but beyond that I don't see why he is a target here. He's really our star on offense when he's healthy. God knows it isn't Lee.
  11. You know, Watson's play calling is miserable because he knows Lee is miserable.......so why don't they pull Lee? They didn't have a "controversy" because Green only knew 17 of them (that was a month ago, so he probably knows at least 35-40 by now) but if they're only running 5 anyways then what's the reasoning for not starting Green? It's effing asinine.
  12. Took a play out of the TuffTiger playbook I see.
  13. Paul's play, along with that of the entire offense, is down because of the disappointment surrounding their play, most of which stems from Lee. Everyone is trying to do too much by themselves because they know Lee cant seem to find the exit sign in his sphincter. He needs to go. Once that is remedied, I feel the offense will get better after that. The bad play radiates from the "leader" of the group. He's laying a massive log week after week and it's rubbing off on the rest of the bunch.
  14. I don't think Watson is a bad coach, but it's the Callahan argument in a sense. HE isn't the problem directly. It's just that HE wont change the problem. Callahan wouldn't fire Cosgrove, so he had to go and if Watson wont can Lee, then he'll have to go too. Watson's a good coach in my book, or was until this season. With Ganz he looked like a genius, but if he wont change to a quarterback competent enough to tie his own shoes, then he's as worthless as Lee himself.
  15. I haven't been here long, but from my experience all of your posts look exactly like this. Basically this amounts to "No, seriously guys. Iowa St. is good, I swear. No really..." and "The newly mediocre Cyclones will give the Huskers a run for their money, you just watch. I'm ignoring the fact that the 'Clones might have to face a different quarterback than they've seen from Nebraska all year. Even though he is a true dual-threat and a huge threat, I'm going to ignore that and keep saying things about Nebraska that show that I am no more than a somewhat-ignorant casual fan who likes to take the occasional stroll around an opponents forum. Things like 'Nebraska has no leg to stand on at this point', adding extreme melodrama with statements like 'Players are going to be pressing...mistakes will be magnified...players will be getting hurt trying to go that extra mile to post 60-70 points up on the board.' If that's not enough, I've got a few condescending impressions of husker fans and their 'thirst for blood' up my sleeve, just to instigate the poo-flinging." Classy. And your point is....? Well, I cant argue with that if you have just accepted what I have stated above. If you're okay with that, then there's nothing I can contest.
  16. I think you and all the others that go with this are an ASS . Ban ME IF YOU WANT TO BUT GET THE f#*k OFF ZACK LEES ASS. UNTIL HE IS REPLACED HE IS THE HUSKER QB. f#*k WITH ME IF YOU WANT BUT I AM TIRED OF HEARING THAT WE NEED TO REPLACE HIM. GET THE f#*k OVER IT BITCH Somebody rolled out of the wrong side of a broken mirror. Not a good day for you, I imagine.
  17. Must have watched Paul drop it and stand there looking shell shocked. Nice.
  18. From what I've heard, it doesn't sound much like Lee at all. He wouldn't have run when he was supposed to, and the authorities would've found him standing in front of the house still holding the eggs.

  20. As far as “if you don’t get angry and put your foot down you are going to get trampled” stuff, how did not getting angry at bad calls from Officials work for Dr. Tom? He got screwed plenty by the boys in stripes and he never looked like an angry wife-beater afterwards. Yes, I did support Callahan. At that point I thought that the "F'ing hillbillies" comment was a sign of Callahan buying into the Nebraska way of life. Turns out it wasn't as he turned out to be a major arse and waste of time, but I supported that statement, because in my experience it's true. Also, Dr. Tom didn't need to argue calls. He seldom was even close enough for calls to matter. In the '93 championship vs. FSU, he did get jobbed and did not get mad. That's because Dr. Tom, for one, is the greatest coach ever to take a breath, and two, he never got mad. According to Scott Frost, you know Dr. Tom is pissed when he throws in a "Dag Gummit!" Some people are more prone to anger than others, but that does not mean that Bo is a bad coach. Whoever that recruit was that someone mentioned, the one who removed Nebraska from their list after Bo's protest, doesn't deserve to come anywhere near a NU uniform outside of getting beaten down by the men wearing them.
  21. That picture was probably sometime after he got F***** on that pass interference against West. Nobody says anything about Bo's "improved" manner all this season, but now, when he is justified in his anger, people say that he's a baby. Who do you all (who talk bad about Bo for his anger) think you are? When you get F'ed, you get angry. If you don't, then you get trampled. You have to state your case and put your foot down at some point. I have yet to see a single game this year where NU didn't come up on the short end of the penalty stick in games with Big 12 officials. It didn't matter against TT, we beat ourselves, but to add insult to injury, we got screwed when we actually had an outside chance at winning the game. All I'm saying is, Bo deserves to be angry sometimes, and officials deserve to get yelled at. That doesn't make Bo a baby.
  22. The Power I and/or option offense is not ineffective. Example: Navy. Who does Navy have? They don't have anyone. With the talent Nebraska has currently and could pull recruiting, we could dominate with the option once again.
  23. Shellacking? What game were you watching? It was a no-good game on our part, but it was hardly a great game by Tech. That was "Backing into a victory" if I've ever seen it. I realize that Nebraska played badly on offense. That's why Lee's gone this week, plain and simple. With the game still on the line, Green looked good. Not great, but good. Given a week practicing with the first squad and the whole game to get his game going, he will be a star. Not immediately, don't get me wrong. I'm being realistic here. The simple fact that Green can THROW THE BALL is an improvement. Plus, he isn't afraid to run. Lee has squandered many opportunities for first downs by hesitating to run. Obviously you did not watch the game, or if you did you are extremely ignorant and clueless about this thing we call football. "No leg to stand on." That's obviously not the case, as I just explained our leg. Sticking with the "leg" metaphor, it may not be the sexiest leg, but it's a leg nonetheless. Iowa State is getting better, and I could be entirely wrong, but I doubt the game will be very close.
