Honestly, the same bunk keeps getting rehashed by Texas-based "journalists." Texas is a white-knight saving the South from those money-loving Yankees, Nebraska is bitter and jealous, WE WIN WE WIN, etc. There's one glaring problem with this guy's article: how could Texas have "won" in this mess when they're losing the one thing they've desired for so long - their own sports network. That's not going to happen if they go to any other conference. Sorry, Longhorns.
:sigh: I really think there are so many media outlets in Texas that they all just keep talking to each other in a bubble and have no perspective whatsoever outside their world. This struck me as I was listening to Unsportsmanlike Conduct today. They talked to a Texas-based journalist who seemed like he should be a voice of reason, but instead he just couldn't wrap his head around why the Big Ten would want Nebraska. He thought they only wanted Notre Dame and Nebraska was shooting itself in the foot by holding out for an invite. It seems to me most people (journalists and fans) in Big Ten country have been pretty damn excited at the prospect of NU joining them. But to a Texan, I guess, it's hard to wrap your head around a lot of things.
