  1. lol what? So i guess all those owners who intentionally lose games to get into better position hate their own teams they own right? Owners like money more than their team. You have no investment in Husker Football other than your free time. Judging by your comments today I think its a bad investment on your part. Some owners do. But it's also a strategy.

  3. Did you want it to happen? The question is would you be willing to go 5-7. Not what if we go 5-7 I think Bo will get there if he keeps the same. Some coordinators aren't cut out for being a head coach. I do believe Bo has hit his ceiling. Yes i would go 5-7 because i don't think Bo can get it done. Other people think he can and that's fine. So you are hoping we have a losing season? What kind of fan roots against their own team? A fan that cares more about the program overall than 1 losing season.

  5. What if Bo does go 5-7 though? that's a sacrifice season cause it resulted in losing.
  6. We've already done that, if you want to split hairs. Anyhow, contrary to the beliefs of the #9whiners, we ALL want that. Some think that blowing the whole thing up and starting over new is the right thing, doesn't matter if that brings 3 win seasons with no guarantees of anything better. Some of us feel that 9+ wins and the chance to play for conference championships every other year is better than the possibility of a losing season and losing the sellout streak. So add 1 more win. a couple of sesaons. big whoop dee do. There is a better chance we lose the sellout streak to Bo because of mediocrity. Under Callahan we knew it was his last season but if Bo is here another couple of years things could change if there is no improvement. Stagnation is the worst because after a while people will care less. Atleast if Bo had a down year you can blame on it too many good players left but when you can compile the same record with new players just with all the seniors nothing really to get excited about. If injuries become a problem once again this year the talk will heat up. Yeah, the day that our "fans" quit showing up when we're winning 9/10 games a year just proves that Bo was right, and it will cement the fact that they are indeed entitled and spoiled. If you think that ANY coach could get away with a sub .500 season around here, well then I've got some groovy ocean front property in Sidnet to sell you. Lastly, making the jump from 9/10 wins and actually playing for championships to winning championships is much smaller than blowing the whole thing up and going with the unknown. Not to mention, they're putting together what may be their best recruiting class, and I'd hate to lose that momentum. we are getting farther and farther away from a conference championship. We got our ass kicked last time. We are also getting taken to the woodshed against the better teams and have complete breakdowns where we lose to teams we shouldn't and it happens too much. When was the last time we had a win over a good ranked team? 2011 Michigan St? Now we are getting to the point where getting ranked is starting to become a problem. If not corrected how much farther do we slide under Bo?

  8. This is standard fare in college athletics. True. And if I'd place a bet, I'd bet that 99 is one of those that has been critical of Bo's recruiting. No extension hurts recruiting. No I am tired of Pelini talking and seein the same sh#t on the field every year but i guess you are fine with it. Would you like better recruiting and sucess on the field, or are you here only to cry and troll? Who ever said I was fine with anything? I pointed out the simple fact that no extension on his contract will equal more negative recruting, in response to your drive by troll. I want to see more than just 9 wins and a bowl game. If Pelini doesn't improve this year he probably won't be here the following year.
  9. I do think this too since it's been almost downhill from our last season in the Big 12. I think Bo needs to reinvent himself. If Bo wants to be a players coach that's fine, i would suggest he go to Seattle and get tips from Carroll. He took players that nobody else wanted and created one of the most dominate defenses and made Manning look like an old qb who is past his prime. For the most part when they had the camera on Carroll he was just calm and cool but yes he did have moments chewing out refs but he doesn't let the referees get him out of his game. When things didn't go his way he was patient. I don't think Bo can continue being himself and get to the level he wants to get. With him being here longer i think other schools are shutting the doors on him cause they are seeing a bigger window of him than just a couple of years.
  10. Until we get our first real test of the season. As far as being negative so not as disappointed i think it's more of we don't get that excited to begin with until we see the results on the field. 09 and 10 i was excited but after that when we dropped off it was hard going into a big time game and think we would win.
  11. really give Bo an extension? lol.
  12. Switching uniforms 1 game a year is fine but make it consistent and don't change it every year. Last year i didn't even know who some of the teams i usually know because they changed up their uniforms a lot. We are a traditional school and need to stick to that for identity.
  13. except the W and L columns never change.
  14. What embarrassed me about that game, is how our players just couldn't hold onto the ball. Is that Bo's fault? Please explain how if so. We pull out who to put in who? Another thing that embarrassed me, is how we pissed down our leg on another national televised game. Our time to shine and our offense couldn't stick to the basics of football I also think thats why we fumble so much cause they know they won't be taken out for long cause we don't have any depth. Also it doesn't force our players to become any better. Even if the guy behind Ameer sucks if Ameer keeps fumbling take him out and show him that no player is held above others. Also could be the main reason why even when Ameer did talk to the other players after Wyoming why no listened cause nothing will happen to him. I would bet you that if all starters were threatened to get benched for any extended time that would eliminate most if not all mistakes.
  15. Not if your cut off line for elite is between #3 and #4, nationally. Not to forget after the bowls they would have been #2.
  16. Do you really think a company that you have worked for for 7 years and yet you are still making rookie mistakes that they are going to keep you? To me it shows he hasn't learned from his mistakes cause he keeps making the same ones year after year. Why is it so hard for him to go to another coach and ask how he gets rid of player fumbles? coaches ask other coaches all the time to improve in the off season. I think Bo is trying to keep it all in house and if he is that's where he is failing. Our offense is average at best and our defense is below average at crucial moments and last year special teams debacle kept continuing. Bo has had 2 really good years and that is it. So for now good seasons vs total seasons he is 2-6. He needs to figure something out......
  17. We were also about 13 points away from being 4-8 last year. Auburn was 16 points and a missed FG from having a 7-5 regular season. Stanford was 17 points away from 7-5. South Carolina was 12 points from 7-5. A lot of teams were several points from a handful more losses. Which kind of demonstrates the absurdity of such an argument. I just found it funny, we're so close because we're 13 points away from . . . one more victory, ignoring the fact we're 13 points away from 4 more losses. we have a somewhat cushy schedule next year. last year's is weaker than this year's.
  18. With that being said, you should have named all the teams we play instead of just the 5 lol. Just giving you crap man, but I understand what your saying. yeah i know. all good.
  19. 2 of those 5 games are huge. Fresno St, who only had the season they did last year, losses their elite QB. Its not going to be easy for them to get a guy in and do what they did. Miami, look at their record last year. The only thing that would worry me about this team, is how much exposure there is going to be and it getting to the players. Letting it be a bigger game than it should be. (IE Texas game) Michigan St, they just amaze me with how up and down they have been and then win the Rose Bowl. I don't believe they were elite, but they are good enough to be concerned about. Wisconsin, they lose a ton of starters and have a lot of shoes to fill. They lose some key OL, LBers and TE's. A lot to account for, but Anderson is a good coach and they will be competitive. Iowa, until they can show they can replace their whole experienced, big and physical defense, I am not concerned. They replace all 3 starting LBers, Safely, a DL, DB, a few OL and a very talented TE in Fiedorowicz. Just too many keys to their success last year that will be missing. That, and they don't even know who will be their starting QB, once again. well with the way we play down to our opponents can't take any game for granted.
  20. Getting tired of IE, Chrome, Firefox, and Opera? Here are some browsers based on Firefox and Chrome that work just as well but a little different. Firefox based: Seamonkey - This is pretty much Netscape Communicator continuation. Email client, IRC, address book, composer all built in. Has two default skins and a little more at the addons page. Not as many as Firefox. http://www.seamonkey-project.org/ Waterfox - 64-bit Firefox browser. http://www.waterfoxproject.org/ Comodo Ice Dragon - pretty much the same as Firefox but with some stuff built in by Comodo which can be removed. http://icedragon.comodo.com/ Pirate Browser - has built in torrent engine. http://piratebrowser.com/ Chrome based Comodo Dragon - same as ice dragon but chrome. http://www.comodo.com/home/browsers-toolbars/browser.php Torch - social media based browser. can download any videos on the page and stream music. http://www.torchbrowser.com/ Chromium - this is the browser that Google Chrome uses. This browser does not install on the computer runs just from a zip file. No automatic updates. http://www.softpedia.com/get/PORTABLE-SOFTWARE/Internet/Browsers/Portable-Google-Chrome-Chromium.shtml
  21. We finish the season at 9-3, we might have problems (where's the bowl game in your equation ) 3 conference losses next year would be unacceptable in my opinion. I can live with the fact taking baby steps to correct his mistakes. Atleast just fix 1 or 2 issues. We should be loaded this year and everyone has experience. Yes i do think 9-3 would be the worst to expect. anything lower and we got problems.
  22. If he wins 9 games, you just can't fire him, unless you already have a worthy coach willing to come here before hand. No coach would want to go to a school that you HAVE to win 10+ games every year to keep your job. I agree with the blowout losses, 100%, but his make it or break it thing, is more of a "make it competitive and quit embarrassing NU on national television". The only game we had, in my eyes, that was a blowout last year, was UCLA. Some say Iowa, but there is no way you could really believe we had that game in the bag with the position we were in. When they said RKIII was starting and TA wouldn't be playing due to an injury, I just went to support. I told so many Iowa fans that it was going to be a struggle for us because of the depth issues we had. I think the problem Pederson had when he fired Frank is that i don't think he made the right argument for firing Frank. If Frank had off the field issues he should have pushed that hard to other potential coaches instead of making it about surrendering the Big 12. Coaches would have been more sympathetic and would have understood. Now if Eichorst does fire Bo he should make it about the multiple blowout losses, the way he acts on national tv, the constant theme of fumbling, etc. I don't think that any coach would disagree about that. Yeah last year we only had 2 blowout losses with the easy schedule. But this year we have Fresno St, Miami, Michigan St, Wisconsin, Iowa. A little bit more loaded. Bo does need to fix the depth issue and not use it as a excuse. Ever year it can't be about depth. That means you aren't recruiting right. I support Bo but Bo has to dig himself out of it. I hope this year he does good and breaks some trends he has had the past couple of years but not going out of the way just to keep a guy.
  23. the downfall of the news just isn't Fox, it's that they care more about making money than reporting the truth. It would be nice to have a widespread news in America that wasn't liberal or conservative.
