  1. Only fight I don't want to miss is the Hendo/Shields fight. Hendo should be able to control his fight and wouldn't be surprised if he KO'd Shields. Sounds like Shields is UFC bound after this fight.
  2. If anyone has looked at the Prelims...did you notice the newly signed fighter, Jason High? Former wrestler for our Huskers and from the Kansas City area. "The Kansas City Bandit" is his nickname. Very cool. I actually met him a few times. Him and my brother were on the wrestling team together. Lets all root for him in his UFC debut.
  3. I agree and I can't wait for the new TUF season to begin because Liddell/Ortiz 3 is going to be sick and I hope Liddell beats him again and I could see Ortiz wearing another shirt like he did with Shamrock about beating him into retirement. If everybody thought that the TUF season with Rampage and Evans was bad....you haven't seen Liddell and Ortiz yet when those two go at it. I'll make you a Lesnar or Kocheck sig....I should have plenty of time tonight and tomorrow to get one made for ya. Yeah I'm definitely hoping for another Liddell KO over Tito. Don't like Tito, but it will be fun to watch the trash talking between the two. Thanks though in advance on the sig.
  4. I don't know about everybody else but it seems like GSP's fights are getting boring anymore. I watched him knock out BJ Penn and I was like there is nobody out there that will beat GSP but his last two fights its like he doesn't even try to ground in pound. He did try several submissions on Hardy two of which I thought Hardy was going to tap and was just plain disgusting to watch him not tap and taking that brutal painful punishment. I was sooo glad to see Carwin knock out Mir. I've been a Carwin fan since his UFC debut back when he beat Christian Wellisch and been watching his fights ever since especially when he knocked out Gonzaga. For the Versus fights I believe it was Joe Rogan and Rogan asked him what its going to be like to fight against a fighter like Frank Mir and Carwin had nothing but great things to say about Mir. Mir is nothing but a trash talking punk who was put too sleep again. Gotta give Ben Saunders for taking the fight in such a short notice against one of the top veterans in the sport. He looked gased and out of it after the match but I respected Saunders a lot after that fight and will be wishing him luck in the future. I think here in the next few days I'll make some UFC sigs if anybody is interested. Can't wait for the BJ Penn Pay Per View and also the Quinton Jackon vs Rashad Evans PPV as well. I agree that GSP's fights are getting boring. He doesn't finish people anymore. Yes he's the best in the world at his weight, but it's getting to be the same fight every time. Carwin is a beast and a great person. I was glad to see Mir go down like that. He blew his last chance at a title shot IMO. Already saw that Mir vs Dos Santos is a possibility and Dos Santos KO'd Gonzaga recently probably easier than Carwin did. Lesnar vs Carwin will be great. Going with Lesnar though. I know he has said some dumb things, but against a lot more respectable person and fighter like Carwin, I don't think it will be too bitter of a bout. I'm ready for Wednesday night when the free fight night comes on spike. Roy Nelson finally fights. Also the new season of TUF starts. UFC sigs sound sweet though, I'd be interested in a Lesnar or Koscheck one.
  5. My picks are exactly like yours. Pretty good card.
  6. Doesn't surprise me, Jones always seems to use his elbows dangerously.
  7. Always cool when there is a free UFC event on tv, but now I just need a place to watch it because I don't have Versus. There are some really good fights. Most interested in the Vera/Jones and Gonzaga/Dos Santos fights, but they should all be entertaining. Runner up of the last Ultimate Fighter, Brendan Schaub, fights too so thats cool. After getting KO'd by Roy Nelson, it's time to see if he's for real. As far as picks, I'm not sure how any of these will play out, but I'd like to see Vera get a win.
  8. Dude. We're getting killed again? No we have been up all game.
  9. Tito really is a d-bag though. That part at least isn't staged.
  10. Buccs want Suh and would have to trade for the 1st pick. What I don't get is that the Rams could easily move down to 3 and get Bradford while getting at least a 3rd rounder(quality pick) or something like that from the Buccs for 1st pick. Then they could also pay Bradford less. It would be a win/win for the Rams to do that. Thats just the way I see it. Not to mention I bet my roommate a couple months ago 30 bucks that Suh would go #1, like he should.
  11. Actually, rumor is 3 are going to transfer. Ive heard 5. Just saying though. Could be wrong. If 5 transfer, there is certainly going to be no improvment made from this year to next. I wonder if it's worth keepin Doc around if that many transfer...thats quite a blow to team chemistry and it's pretty much starting over again. We all know he can't get high profile offensive threat to come to town. I just hope it doesn't turn into a lost cause...or is it already?
  12. I saw a 4.63, still isn't very good. 14 reps on the bench. He isn't doing much to help his stock so far.
  13. If you look up earlier in the thread I posted up both guys' career stats. McCoy has one PDF in his entire career, and none this year, while Suh has four in his career and one this year. I think you are referring to the interception stat.
  14. I think his vert was beat today. Still good though.
  15. Does anyone else find it annoying that Doc plays Lance Jeter so much. He has a bad shot and always takes it to the hoop and gets rejected. He about blew the game against TT, but luckily got bailed out on a foul call.
  16. I like Doc, but I give him next year to show big improvment or give him the boot. Sucks for Ryan Anderson to have gone out like this in his senior year after all he has done, but its just bad timing. This group can be good, but we seriously need a dominating offensive threat. A lot of freshman, hopefully they learn a lot with this season and can capitalize in the future.
  17. Yeah 112 will rock. Also has Wanderlei Silva vs Bisping. Not a fan of either, but would like for Silva to knock Bisping out so that he gets off his high horse. The guy gets brutally KO'd by Henderson and then wins his next fight and thinks he's the champ. Bisping is pretty good, but he thinks way too highly of himself.
  18. I'm not a big fan of Jeter's drive and floaters, they never go in. Good ball handler though.
  19. Yeah, still funny. Heat of the moment, I probably wouldn't be able to control myself after something like that either.
  20. Well I guess Damian Maia. Tough opponent, but Sonnen just beat Marquardt and Marquardt one punch KO'd Maia not too long ago...I would assume it's just another victim for Silva unless something crazy happens.
  21. It's short notice, but to be honest it could be worse. UFC 112 isn't until March 10th. And with Sonnen's big mouth, I expect him to step in.
  22. This really sucks, I was looking forward to seeing Belfort in action for the title. The new #1 contender, Chael Sonnen, may step in on short notice which would be pretty cool.
  23. Nice job taking the lead back and holding on to it late in the 2nd half.
