  1. And Bubba was not happy he only got 2 or 4 plays in the game...
  2. http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=274664&id=634211461&l=38a8d9ab7c Sorry about some of them, my son and his best friend were official ball, towel, water boys for the game... But some pics of possible future huskers... We did our part with all 4 recruits telling them how happy we are they picked Nebraska....
  3. Be there around noon from SA, with 6 total... 3 kids... To see the last regular season game in Texas, not counting the Big 12 Championship... I was at the first Big 12 game vs A&M and now I will be at the last... Fitting... Its an amazing place and the most intimating stadium Ive ever seen football played... Thanks for all the pointers about parking and partying... Every 3 yrs isnt enough to commit it to memory
  4. I will never forget... I was with my family in the husker section and my 8 yr old, started crying with 3 minutes left... It was his first husker game and we were going to lose.. Then.. THE CATCH!!!! And he stopped crying and started cheering, told him never count this team out, ever... Another memory, it was the first time my boys ever experienced the "Go Big Red" call, that everyone answers... They got so pumped up, they actually started yelling it themselves to get everyone to answer and of course they did... It put them on cloud nine One of the best things that happened was after the game, since they had no more home games, they allowed everyone down on the field to run around and basically play... My 2 boys LOVED it and its still talked about around our house...
  5. I will be there and I will offset about 12 Aggies lol.... Also, Martinez loves away games... So if there is one... This is it!!! That damn swaying they do in the crowd, coupled with beer, isnt good for the soul, or the person in front of me!
  6. Its actually a Double Wing formation. We run it in our youth football league here in Texas. One of the reasons it works so well at the College and NFL level is because it pits 11 offensive players vs 11 Defensive players. At the High School level and up, they start to not count the QB as a viable threat to run the football. Many people have long considered an NFL offense 10 players with a QB vs 11 defensive players. The "wildcat" changes that by making the QB a viable running threat. Couple that with the misdirection that comes in with the motion back and the quickness of the direct snap to the running back, defenses say the play almost happens to fast for them to read and react to it. The NFL defenses are having to change their formations to account for this by bringing the safety up to the LOS, which accounts for the extra man on offense. Personally, Im waiting to see a team pass out of it, once they see the safety is brought up to the LOS. But even in the NFL, I dont believe Ive seen that happen yet... Anyway, it was a blast to watch them run the same offense we youth football coaches run LanceM
  7. I didnt know he was hurt, but as a Coach myself, I believe you stay with the hot hand, and Rex was HOT tonight. I have NOTHING against Roy at all, but with Rex picking up yards the way he was, wow!
  8. Correct me if Im wrong, but ESPN didnt mention this at all... AND for husker fans this game was completely enjoyable, for anyone else, this might have kept them tuned in and given the announcers something to talk about. I blame Craig James... Isnt his son in the band? Maybe he conjured up the snow storm that kept our band in Lincoln... (lol)
  9. We practiced it for the Texas game, but never ran it during the game.
