  1. Uh...yeah. They've really struggled at RB 2006 Vondrell McGee- #3 All Purpose Back 2007 Cody Johnson- #1 Fullback Foswhitt Whittaker- #6 APB 2008 DeSean Hales- #1 APB Jeremy Hills- #6 APB 2009 Chris Whaley- #8 Athlete, recruited as RB 2010 Traylon Shead- #16 RB 2011 Malcolm Brown- #1 RB and where are they now??? There is just no way Aaron SHOULD want to go to UT. Their offensive schemes are not centered around their RB's, they don't have any strength in the running department, and they take good RB's that are never able to reach their potential until the pros and do nothing with them. I think Malcolm made a poor decision going there instead of Bama and Green will make an equally poor decision going to UT instead of Neb. We had 3 100 yard rushers today. I know that isn't going to happen every week, but if that doesn't make him want to be a part of this train to glory then I don't know what will. This NU team would be the perfect display for his talents. Think about Burkhead, Green, and Heard running around back there with T-Magic doing the zone read next year. I know we all freak out about Aaron and the possibility of him leaving to go elsewhere and I definitely feed into the hype and hysteria as new info comes out every few days, but his recruitment is so...wait for it...fun. He is a smart, extremely talented RB, that we would all love to have. The past few weeks should just be evidence to him that this decision is the best one possible. I'm just so jazzed after the game today!
  2. well, i can GUARENTEE our crowd will show up on 10/16, but i'd rather not see a game like the OU one. It was almost the same as the bills/browns game last year - punch each other in the face for 60 minutes and see who is left standing. hearing the crowd roar after 4 or 5 TD's (preferably all Helu/Burkehead scores) would help us a little more than 180 yards of total offense in a 10-3 win. At least in Aarons case. I think it would help to have an offensive explosion that day, but a win of any kind is going to look fantastic against the terrible Texans. The crowd is going to explode in that game and a win will set up such an explosive atmosphere that I don't think many of these kids will be able to compare to any other experience that they have on the recruiting trail.
  3. As I was once told when salivating over the possibilities of our future secondary, DREAM BIG. Add Jeremy Cash to that list. If he is visiting after already being committed to OSU, the chance is there that he is really questioning that decision. A great atmosphere and a solid performace(which leads to a win hopefully) and I think he jumps ship from the Buckeyes. I thought we decided Cash and Lyons were both climbing on the NU train with the rest of the guys to create the most dominant secondary in Big Ten history?
  4. True, but we were saying the same thing about a one Will Henry. Hey now give Will a chance! He's got one more year to show what he can do. Look for him to nab a TD with 4 mins left in the 4th quarter against SDSU on a nice fade route thrown by Cody Green to run the score up to 84-0.
  5. Yeah no doubt Ben has been quite boneheaded with some of his penalties. If what you do on the field is crossing the line and it doesn't even impact the outcome of the play, they why do it?! That drives me crazy when we get to watch Ben do something stupid away from the ball carrier for no apparent reason. So the chances of us going after Chase Harper again are slim to none is what I'm gathering by reading this thread? I was excited about him. Without Middleton transferring in that bums me out a little bit.
  6. Hilarious analogy here. +1 sir.
  7. As if I wasn't excited enough before this article. The dude is going to be an absolute beast. I hope he competes with Marcel for the RT spot opposite of Yoshi and Sirles. I know that's asking a lot out of a frosh but I think he can do it.
  8. Wayne do you really want to practice at all hours of the day, longer than rules allow, and have your acedemics suffer when playing for RichRod? OR do you want to really sit around a camp fire singing Kum Bi Ya with skippy while contemplating the meaning of life, instead of improving your skills on the field? Come on this could have been made a final five so easily. I have not said his name in awhile but I guess I will now. Speaking of UCLA, after watching them get pounded by Stanford I can't help but to think that Owa made the complete wrong decision. He could have been great here, instead he will be playing for 4th in the Pac Ten. With that display, I'd say competing for 6th in the conference might be as high as they can go. The past two weeks they've looked rotten. I think a game between them and Colorado might be extremely entertaining at this point.
  9. How they are competing with us for anyone on the defensive side of the ball is mind boggling. I understand wanting to be on a nice weather campus, but when your team is not good (sorry for the harsh words HuskerBruin), they shouldn't be on the tops of so many of these player's lists.
  10. Do K-St fans think they have a shot with him? Because if he was going anywhere besides NU, I would say his #2 choice Dame would be the immediate front runner. I don't even remember hearing K-St mentioned with this dude besides the fact he is from Kansas.
  11. If u commit to UT your rankings drop now. It's a new exciting fad that makes me enjoy recruiting a lot more than I ever have before.
  12. I know I am an eternal optomist in the world of recruiting, but as I watched the WKU game and analyzed the depth chart afterward, I noticed Andrew wasn't on the depth chart that I saw. Ciante Evans was 3rd and Dijon was 4th at the cb spots. Hopefully Andrew isn't ticked off and sends some negative vibes Aaron's way especially after all that positive vibage we were hearing about him last year as he redshirted. I know that's kind of a stupid argument, but it crossed my mind. Thoughts anyone?
  13. I wish that old link was a new one. We were reported top 3 then we didn't make his official top 6. Oh recruiting, thou art a fickle beast.
  14. BEAST MODE!!! Nice AG! Talk about a running team vs passing team geez... 430 rushing yards for Green's Madison team and 503 passing for Kerrville. Wowza!
  15. 140 passing yards and 130 rush, nice balance. It will be cool to see them in more challenging games throughout the season where he can show off some more aerial skills.
  16. I don't know who this fella is, but if you guys put stock into his word then I'll follow suit. Hope his intel was correct!
  17. he was recruited for defense. if he's better on offense, i have no problem with giving him a shot there, but it's not what he was brought in for. it helps that we already have an apparently good looking true freshman QB in carnes (and a RSFR that appears to be our starter). we have a bigger need at DB at this point. Yes sir. And Marsh knew coming in he was being looked at as a safety here. If he wanted to play QB, Solich had a nice little Ohio offer sitting out for him. He opted for NU knowing that to attend his dream school on scholly he was going to be playing some D. If we get in trouble at QB (unlikely from our current crop and the 2 awesome qbs coming in 11') then I'm sure they would give him a look kind of like they did LaTravis.
  18. I decided to not be lazy and just ask questions even though you all are very good about answering questions. Aaron Green: 170 yards 3 Rush TDs Malcolm Brown: 184 yards 1 Rush TD 1 Rec TD I couldn't find receiving stats besides that MB touchdown.
  19. I might have skimmed over this, but what are the side by side comparable stats for Green and Brown after the game? From the analysis I've read it sounds like Green is super shifty and can really explode in space. I think a poster on Orangebloods said OU's Murray before he got injured, which is cool. I say Reggie Bush, only not a program killer.
  20. We've got a visit. I'm happy.
  21. Really reminds me of that epic game Brett Favre had after his dad passed away. It's amazing guys can totally throw themselves into the game like that after something so terrible. A lot of athletes, though, will say that game time is their sanctuary, regardless of what's gone on in their lives. I almost talked about that, but then I remembered the last few years of Favre's legacy... Like his amazing season last year with the Vikes. I get ya. It's tough to think about a 40 year old pro bowler and one of the top QBs in the league right now. What a shoddy legacy right?
