3rd straight season leading the nation in fumbles? And the announcers are lecturing us on why we aren't sold on this guy?

Kudow to Wisconsin though. Nebraska has been selling out for Whisky to run off guard with Baker out, and they schemed for it. Everything outside. A little disheartening to see our DE's and LBs unable so set the edge and force the wide runs back inside

Should be noted, that even though I believe it was a bad call, that camera does not seem to be at the goaline focused across. Looks like its around the 2 or 3 ;yard line on the replay -

Go for it. 2 to 1 we get it. We don't. PSU has 15 seconds to go the length of the field. Field goal could get blocked and run back -

Maybe he has really long arms. He's trying to do what MJ did in Space Jam to win the game. LOL -

Can someone explain to me why TMart is extending the ball when he's 8 yards short of the marker? -

Penn St. is owning the kicking game. I guess that's what happens when your all american kicker is good for one shanked punt a game. -

Nice to see Beck has discovered Imani Cross. Albeit long after every other Husker fan did. -

Haven't posted in a long time.....but for some reason I feel unbelievably frustrated after seeing the first half. This team just can't get out of its own way. They must have had a 100 yard drive if you just count the positive plays on the first series. They march down the field, yet PSU gets 5 TFL. Defensively, I'm really tired of seeing timeouts on 3rd down. If Bo wants all timeouts to be reserved for the defense....fine....but we better have a hell of a great defense and be an unreal 3rd down defense. We are neither. I'm not a huge observer of Bo's sideline demeanor, but Stafford is a 'veteran' on this team. And he looked to be coming apart at the seams and saying some pretty inflammatory things to his head coach. I'm not in the locker room, and I have no inside information. But when you've got that sort of confrontation happening weekly, I would think it's pretty tough to preach and practice poise as a team. -
If the article is focusing on the opinions of boosters, what merit will it have? Might as well interview me 2 minutes after the South Carolina game. I'm sure there would have been a few inflammatory remarks passed on the state of the program. If the article relies on these interviews heavily, which it should if it's trying to make some kind of point concerning the perception of Pelini within the Husker fan base, then the questions should be fairly open ended, with coresspondingly comprehensive answers. The point being, it's not cross examination. The questions aren't 'loaded' just because you may surprise yourself with the answer you find yourself offering up. Personally, I don't give a flying f@&$ what a booster says to a journalist. But if the piece comes out with a premise of less -than-glowing reviews of recent husker football, I'm not going to dismiss it out of hand. Rather, I will examine the supporting pieces of testimony and evidence that SHOULD be present in the article. If its lacking, I'll say so. If there's a point to be made, I'll concede it. What I'm not going to do is freak out days before the piece is released and send out an all hands, Paul Reveresque warning to the message board. 'The smear piece is coming! The smear piece is coming!' I have confidence that most of you, when being honest with yourselves, will make a clear judgment about whether an article has merit or not. Until then, remember that our 'poor' coach has a lot of support here and Lincoln, Nebraska isn't exactly a media epicenter where droves of hacks are putting him under the microscope every minute.

I've only skimmed through this thread, but I see no reason why the argument didn't begin and end with this. He kicked a guy. Yes, because it was Suh, the media backlash is a bit more intense. But ANY player doing that would have resulted in an ejection and a suspension. I was a bit embarrassed by it. Nothing he's done before made me feel that way. It was him losing control and costing his team BIG.
