I don't know why one would come to this conclusion. There is very little information to suggest anything about his recruiting prowess. At this point, it's a big question mark.

That's not my real problem. My real problem is not addressing it when it happens. A lot of times you go into a game and they do things differently than you saw on tape, and you gotta fix it then and there. Other teams coaches see that, hell we see it sometimes in the game thread.

Why 2 losses? A 2 loss Ohio St would still get the nod over any undefeated G5 school, for example. I put the scenario above that shows what it takes to neutralize the SOS argument that holds these G5 schools back. None of those schools is close to that scenario.

There aren't many jobs as stressful and time demanding as being the head coach at a division 1 program. It doesn't matter if it's here or there, if you want success, you're putting in insane hours. In the first video of this thread he talks about taking his wife out during the time off with the hurricane because of how rare that is during the season. He understands the time requirements and sacrifices involved.

It's only going to get worse with every UCF win. I wish the expectations were lower, too, but that's probably not a reality with the way they're playing and the seemingly inevitability of Riley's firing.

They only play 11 games, had to cancel the Geogia Tech game, which really hurts SOS. In an ideal scenario it's next to impossible for a G5 team to get in, and this is far from ideal. That ideal scenario is something like this: a G5 team has to go undefeated, schedule aggressively against the power 5, have one or more of those power 5 have exceptional years and have their own conference have exceptional years.

I posted more about this a few weeks ago, but I really like that he's not an offensive coordinator shoehorned in as a coordinator/QB coach. You have to make compromises with the limited number of coaching spots, I just feel more teams would be better finding another way to balance it.
