  1. You think Frost you think Husker???? The dude went to Stanford over NU first. How is that "more Husker" than Crouch?
  2. We need the horses on defense. I say good move! Offense wins games, defense wins championships.
  3. Like I've said before, I'm not a huge fan of the alternating stripes, but it ain't too bad. I would have loved a red endzone with white lettering, but I'm just glad that they put the N in the middle.
  4. 7-4 won't get Callahan fired. 4-7 may.
  5. http://www.chicagoans4neb.com/ Never been up there for a game, myself, so I don't have any suggestions other than the alumni group.
  6. Hopefully he turns out to be half as good as Childress!
  7. Well, as far as pass defense, they can't get much worse... If I remember right we were 113th or so. No where to go but up.
  8. Upset loss? I think we'll lose to KU. They've been building and have a good shot to beat us this year. Upset win? It's hard to say who will be favored over us... But maybe Tech.
  9. I'm gonna have to give a couple of examples for these... Recent history, since I didn't start analyzing games as closely as I do now until about 7 to 10 years ago. Prior to that I was just a crazy fan. Underrated: Scott Frost was definitely underappreciated. Tough, fast, but not better than Crouch, IMO. Dahrran Diedrick was underrated. If our offensive line had not sucked so badly in 2002, he'd have been much better. I mean the guy ran for 1300 yards as a Junior. He missed Crouch badly. Overrated: Dan Alexander -- the dude was huge and fast but had very little by way of moves. I'll always remember him lowering his shoulder to run over a DB that was already on the ground, and then promptly falling over. And he couldn't catch the damn option pitch. I also have to go with Tracey Wistrom here. He was a solid TE, but man we kinda fell all over ourselves praising him because he was Grant's little bro. Good, but nothing great.
  10. Does anyone know if the new 12 game football season starts in 2006? I thought it did, but now I can't find any articles to confirm that.
  11. He is the type of guy that our younger running backs should look up to. He works hard and plays hard all the time. Great example for our incoming freshman.
  12. I would expect some of the practices to be outdoors so they get used to the heat...
  13. All I'll say is Gary Pinkel stopped Mizzou by tying one leg behind Brad Smith's back...
  14. Was there an N at Midfield?
  15. I've heard that in reference to the 60's style that this turf is supposed to evoke, there will be no big red "N" at the 50. Not sure if that is true or not, however. I'm still waiting on it. I'm ok now with the alternate shades of green. Once all the trimmings are done, it'll be a good looking field. I'm not a huge fan of the striped effect, but its OK. I just hope there is still an emblem of some sort at midfield. I think it'd look a little funky after having the "N" there all those years...

  17. Hittin Sheryl Crow earns him big time bonus points in my book. But based on overall athletic ability, I'm guessing he is no where near as physically gifted as Michael Jordan. But comparing two guys within different sports is pretty impossible. Each dominated their respective sports but both sports are so incredibaly different, you know that MJ would beat Lance in Basketball and Lance would beat MJ in a bike race.
  18. Nothing wrong with the red masks, but I love the grey ones. They look so old school and bad ass.
  19. I'd like to see us playing Iowa, Minnesota, or Wisconsin on a regular basis. Iowa and Minnesota for geographic reasons and Wisconsin because Barry is a Devaneyite.
  20. Based on the 2004 Defensive performance, is that really all that special? Just kidding. I think Taylor will be much improved over Dailey, but I don't think Taylor is the second coming that some make him out to be.
