    Anyone willing to make a prediction on this weekend's remaining baseball? I'll predict we win one game today and lose to Rutgers tomorrow. We have absolutely zero senior leadership.

    Lol.... we are soooooo............ far from a team that deserves a post season shot. This game showed just how far away we are.

    Ugh... I embarrass myself way to often on this board during baseball season... I know I need to stop being the Debbie Downer with a pathetic outlook and still I post.. wth is wrong with me? I do believe the post season is a reward for the players and staff. They work hard all year with hopes of reaching it and I so desperately want to see them achieve it. Still, when I see our seniors (especially those on the mound) play so nonchalant while committing errors, base running errors, swinging at pitches way out of the strike zone.. etc, I wonder if this senior class is deserving of the post season?

    Well.... can't argue that tonight as I was at my daughters game listening on the radio until the bottom of the 4th.... regardless, are you telling me you're happy with this performance?

    lol... I gave up when this team showed they can't keep a sh@t team under 5 runs.... every mediocre team they've played, they've lost to except Arky... we don't deserve a shot at the post season... errors, hit batters, swinging at balls in the dirt... etc... The seniors are a joke.....

    KSU is embarrassing us... can't believe Erstad is going to let KSU sweep us. I know we have a 4 game weekend but seriously... wtf is this staff thinking? Absolutely horrible coaching and horrible pitching all the way around. I should be used to this crap.

    @ matthew-m-g I think it is entirely too early to predict an at large bid. The midweek game vs KSU and the non-conference games this weekend are huge. We have to beat KSU at home and win 3 of 4 this weekend before at large talk can be considered. If the sker's lay an egg (ie.. the Ohio State series) then we can close the books on any chance of getting an at large. In honesty, even winning 4 of 5 this week/weekend one has to wonder how impressive it really is? KSU is very sound but is also slipping, Okie lite is better but at best an at large, Creighton has more to win then we do and well... Rutgers is nowhere near the post season. The bright side is, we win the KSU and OSU games (both against top 30 teams) and well... we help the B1G's out of conference and help push the rpi.

    This sweep coupled with the Arky sweep has me a little excited but to be honest only a little. I'm still not convinced that a team that can't win a series at home against tOSU is something to get excited about.

    That's the scary thing. This team doesn't know how to focus and controlling their own destiny to me is scary. They will find ways to lose as they have all season. Sucks but the truth is in the pudding. Errors, leaving runners on base, can't hold opponents under 5 runs, walks, pass balls, pitchers that look dominant one performance and totally opposite the next outing... How hard must it be for Silva right now? He has to be shaking his head wondering what he needs to do to get some consistency from the mound. Regardless, I expect the worst and hope for the best here. Purdue wins the series 2-1.

    Not wanting to take anything away from the game 1 performance.... it was awesome!! I also hate be a Debbie Downer but ...... no chance in hell we win game 2. Not because odd's are against us. Rather, because it's on the B1G Network... Huskers can't win televised games.... In fact, we really S U C K!!! when televised. (cry)

    I am confident that we split with them... I'm also confident that we win both the iowa and purdue series. I rant more then most. I wear my disappointment on my sleeve and often post something about eating crow.. but I'm telling you, we split with arky and win both Iowa and Purdue series.

    I think everyone (me included) went into this season with way to lofty expectations. The team is nowhere as bad as we are saying and will be fine over the next 3 weeks. We win all three series (Iowa, tOSU and Purdue) while splitting with Van Horn's razorbacks. I'm confident that are boys will begin to strut their stuff.
