Even if he was playing against lower level competition (which I kind of doubt) those are some mind blowing stats. Its not everyday you see a noseguard with 19 sacks.
  2. New rivals teaser any one got any info?
  3. Agree 100%, you the man huskerjock!

Then he must also know that Eric Berry's interception stats went down when playing for Kiffin. Tied with a couple of DL for team lead. He must also know that Bo and Marvin Sanders are known for putting safetys in the NFL, Josh and Daniel Bullocks, Larry Asante, Matt o'Hanlon is getting a shot. #6 overall pick, LaRon Landry, when Bo was at LSU. Bo helped Chad Jones be a monster too, I forgot about LSU Craig Steltz (LSU) is a Chicago Bear....no way this kid makes the NFL without Bo Pelini. So we all agree Wayne should come to Nebraska because Bo will put him in the NFL?

I respect your opinion, but I disagree. While it's true that he does have other options and that's good, but a kid shouldn't feel like he's entitled to a scholarship if the staff in question wants to see more from him before offering. Afterall, NU is giving him a shot to earn their offer. All he has to do is show up at their camp this summer and prove to the staff that he's worthy of it. Otherwise this sense of entitlement could be misconstrued as having a prima donna complex among other things that the staff could do without. +1 Nexus, I really hope he changes his mind and makes a trip to the Summer Camp and proves he is worthy, but in the end we have other WR's interested in us. Don't get it twisted, I'm rooting for this kid. I wish him luck, wherever he goes. I just don't agree with the principle of how he's going about it. That is if I'm interpreting his situation correctly. Afterall, NU is giving him a chance to prove himself. It's up to him to pursue it or look elsewhere like he said he was going to. But in the end, it's not NU's fault if he chooses to look elsewhere. I'm rooting for him too, and I completely agree with everyhting you said. I just dont want the kid to hold a grudge against NU and pull a curtis carter.

I'm sick of UCLA and USC and their annoying fan bases, and coaches. Anyway, I think if we atleast get hom for an official visit Todd will see that it is a big deal to be a cornhusker.

Whether other schools offer this kid and UCLA waits till the last minute to offer, its a done deal and he'll be a Bruin. He's a huge UCLA fan and has dreamed about becoming a Bruin to play college ball ever since he was a young kid. He'll be attending a June 6 camp at UCLA and they'll have most of their recruits their and have them go head to head to see who's the best, whoever wins the most they'll offer. EDIT: Nebraska would like Worthy to visit Lincoln during a football game sometime in September. I strongly dislike UCLA
  11. I seriously dont think this one is over, he might have just wanted a break from the whole recruitng cycle. Long time until signing day.
  12. To add to this, he says he will definitely camp or take an unofficial visit to Nebraska before making any decision. IMO, the family thing in Oklahoma makes me think he'll end up there. You never know but the fact that he has visited the campus 4 times and wants to make a decision by the end of summer makes it see like he's OU bound. Never know though. I'm still holding out hope that he will fall in love with our facilities, coaching staff, etc. But trying to recruit against family doesnt work alot of the time. If he does go to OU move on to one of the other safeties we have offered:Gerrod Holliman, Wayne Lyons, Lyndell Johnson, TK Flemming
  13. I just saw that too, if we can get our presense in Georgia that would be huge.
  14. Kid is still pretty raw, but still like him alot. Reminds me of Grant Wistrom a little.
  15. http://wearesc.com/news/story.php?article=3144 committed to USC
  16. http://www.wearesc.com/forums/showthread.php?t=122440 hopefully not true.
  17. Do not watch the game with someone that has to make some intelligent comment after every play. MAN LAW! (and my law, bugs the crap out of me)
  18. In reality yes - but Kiffin is one hell of a salesman. I'm not sure you can dog on him about the "family" issue considering half of Kiffin's family coaches the team. It's like a multi-generational reunion every day, complete with rock/movie stars and some potato salad on the side. The question will be whether or not the Grimbles can see through all the smoke he blows up their A$$ - and if in reality it is just a bunch of smoke...I'd think his cousin would have already told him about it. We talk on here about how it takes years to build up relationships with HS coaches, and develop a territory, earn a reputation. Look at what Kiffin did in a single year in TN. He didn't have any relationships there. He had a salesman personality and some hot coeds. The result was one of the best classes in the nation without a single thing we think is required to recruit well. He took half of Georgia and he'd probably never even visited the state. Florida, Illinois, Mississippi, South Carolina, Tennessee - he raided them all. Regardless what you may think of Kiffin (and most of what everyone has formed their opinion of him off of is based on his departure from TN for his dream job - can't blame him there) he and his staff are spectacular recruiters. Assuming we actually did set the bar, if there is a staff in the country that can raise it - it's Kiffin's. He might be a great salesman, but some of kids he recruited to Tenn were not as tight with their family as Jalen. Being a saleman can only get you so far in the recruiting world, you need to build relationships and open up some doors through that relationship. He might be able to get kids to buy into his used car salesman talk, but a kid that is close with his father like Jalen, its hard to bu**sh#t them.
  19. Once again another great find by this staff, great burst of speed. I wish therer was a little more film of him as a CB but overall good lookin prospect.
  20. It will all come down to if USC can make a big impression on his Father like Bo and Company did. Personally I dont think Lame Kiffin and his crew can set or even match the bar Nebraska set when Jalen and his father visited.
  21. Texas will get Malcolm Brown, then AG will come here and sims might have to stay or wait and see if Texas wants to take two runningbacks.
  22. Jalen and his dad both said that he's going to make his decision on his birthday on Aug 10th post #31 from th rivals teaser says he will make a decision in about two weeks after visiting USC. Hopefully he will not wait until August I dont think that bodes well for NU. Just gives Rick Neuweasel and Lame Kiffin more time to use their used car salesman approach on Jalen.
  23. I hope he is still going to decide in a week or two, I really think this kid is ours unless something wacky happens.
  24. Funny, but too soon. I have a feeling that this is in fact a two horse race as well. I thought OU was going to be a bigger player in this one from the beginning. I thought so too, OU usually recruits Nevada pretty hard, at one point I heard he favored OU. Oh well one less team to worry about.
