  2. If anyone has 3 tickets for sale for the Idaho game today, please contact me at 402-937-3973. Rob
  3. Thanks both of you. As it turns out, I got tipped off to a few left over from the FAU fan section, and I went and picked them up this morning before getting the message left on my voicemail. I work nights and so I was asleep throughout the day yesterday. Thanks very much for your replies and I apologize for not getting back sooner than just now.
  4. If anyone has a pair of tickets for sale, please contact me at 402-304-3913. Distance not a problem within 100 miles of Lincoln. Casey
  5. Thanks for the response, southeast. Just got a pair before checking this thread. Thanks again.
  6. ----Found a pair, thanks to all who responded.
  7. With an Omaha metro population in the 800,000 range and the Lincoln population in the 235,000 range, I think there are more than enough Husker fans in a 50 mile radius to pick up the slack if ever the time comes that far away Husker fans give up their tickets due to high gas prices.
  8. I support their efforts. After all, those ducks are gonna taste real good once they get blown out of the sky.
  9. Haven't gotten around to hunting one yet, but am planning on it soon. One of my best friends told me when I moved back I'd have to plan on going hunting with him ---he'd never gone himself. Well, I'm back and have been on his ass to start making plans and now he's waffling. Personally, I'm big on mule deer --as far as getting them mounted goes. They're far more majestic than white tails. Just an absolutely beautiful animal. We'll probably go for whitetails the first go round when we get around to it. Since they're in close proximity to the Lincoln area and time constraints might prevent us from going out to the western reaches of the state.
  10. That's Britain for you. Quite the submissive country --as far as law enforcement goes concerning peoples rights. This crap would never fly in the states.
  11. I'm just looking for one Spring game ticket if anyone should have an extra or change in plans. We purchased ours a few weeks ago, now another family member has decided to make the trip. If anyone should happen to have a ticket available, my phone number is (402) 615-8138. You can call and leave a message at any time. I will return your call promptly. Appreciate any help. Rob.
  12. I think the whole point of using all those tricks plays goes back to the Buff's stated intentions of having Nebraska limp into the Big 12 Championship game. By throwing that many trick plays against the Buffaloes, Callahan was able to keep CU's defense honest and force them to back off from attempting more late hits on Zac than they had already done. Had Zac gotten hurt from any late hits or successful pass rushes, Nebraska's chances of a win in the CCG would be greatly diminished, therefore Callahan did what he had to to nullify that type of scenario. That's my take on the game plan.
  13. Tell him he keeps his job if he's right, and loses it if he's wrong.
  14. Is your wife's boss hot? I got a whole lot of ideas for what you can do if that's the case.
  15. Let them have their say. Remember when Switzer had Husker fans pulling their hair out 2 and 3 decades ago? Now they're getting their due. Nebraska is closing in on the Hillbillies in talent speed and depth. No matter what happens in the CCG, it's gonna get ugly for the dirt burglars in future meetings between the two schools, and the Hillbillies sense this despite their stupidity. So let them bellyache over our coach. It's their turn to get into a frenzy. And yes, they are indeed Hillbillies. We don't boo visiting teams out of our stadium or harrass their players with pop guns prior to the start of the game. The Hillbillies on the other hand do so and Callahan was telling it like it is.
  16. If anyone would happen to have a pair of tickets on hand, call (402) 430-8318. -Lincoln area. Feel free to leave message if no answer. Rob
  17. Yeah, that's how I'll judge who's going to win a game. I line them all up with their shirts off and whoever is the most toned, they'll totally win the game... They'll totally win the game by overpowering their opposition (us, in this case) throughout the game. OSU's players were in better shape, and wore us down. Just like what we used to do back in the days of TO when we were the ones who had the better conditioned players on the field.
  18. Looking at our D and O lines, it's apparent we're losing the battle in the trenches. We gave Texas hell last week, but that was an all out effort and with a home crowd assisting. Taking a close look at the physiques of the OSU players, and it becomes apparent that they are better conditioned, with better muscularity, better toning. They are simply wearing the Huskers down. Hopefully this problem will be taken care of the next few years, as the recruits coming in will replace what is left of the Solich regime. I also am interested in seeing how Kennedy fares the next couple of years. I'm sure his performance as strength coach will be evaluated in full upon the conclusion of this season. What worries me is that I haven't really seen much improvement in the muscularity of our players the past two years. Will be interesting to see how this plays out, but we gotta be patient as the transition continues. We simply must wait and give the coaches time to develop the players that we do have and work on getting back to having well conditioned players. We're simply not there yet. Now that we have a new and improved strength training facility, the heat is on Kennedy to put it to good use.

  20. Gonna be an interesting game. Can't wait to see how the Huskers do against Texas and if they've been holding anything back the last few games.
  21. It is truly a shame Byrne never implemented his ideas for the next stadium expansion. His plan was for a $100 million expansion of the stadium. That would definitely have been impressive. I think we would be looking at a renovated east stadium in the same way the west stadium had been done.
  22. Pretty much so. Hopefully when we play CU, their players will have a flaming case of crotch-rot from all those prostitutes Barnett's been sending straight to their dorm rooms. That should slow the Bison down.
