  1. Not only that, but he'll be loyal to HCMR, who easily could have let him go. With three DWIs, others would find it hard to hire him. I think he'll be here a long time.
  2. OMG are we still really that big of a deal? I figured it would be more like some dude shows up in a rental car, and we take him to Mc D's for lunch. I'd hope they bring him to Cane's at least... I hope they get a great Xs and Os guy myself. I want him to be able to recruit, but let's get some creativity and ingame adjustments. Not saying to hire Claeys or Sawvil, but their game plan against Washington State in the bowl was amazing. To overcome the loss of that many DBs against an amazing passing team. Xs and Os won that game.
  3. You're right on about location benefits of OSU. Tickets for family would be free at either place.
  4. Don't think USC would be in it, judged by this quote: ...“I’m staying away from the streets, the parties and the people that aren’t good for me on the West Coast. I need to get mentally prepared to get there because you have to be mentally strong at Ohio State. That’s one of the reasons why I wanted to go somewhere new. I’ve seen too much on the West Coast, I’m ready to see something new and my future is going to be bright and different in Ohio and I appreciate it.” https://www.landof10.com/ohio-state/ohio-state-commitments-tyjon-linsdey-working-get-healthy-preparing-next-step Obviously sub out the Ohio part now. Wants to get away though. That's great for us.
  5. Do everyone a solid just exchange numbers and text each other. I sense a budding friendship here anyhow...
  6. Nice to see official visits in June as part of he plan.
  7. I'm not even a fan of Miles, but I'm willing to admit that he's what Nebraska needs right now.Les Miles is what Nebraska needs right now? The same Les Miles that had access to some of the greatest recruits in the country, would get them to LSU and then do jack sh#t with them. THAT'S what Nebraska needs right now? I'm not saying he's who we need. But, he did win a national championship with some of those recruits, so he did do SOMEthing.
  8. I don't read HuskerMax boards since finding this one, so I don't know this poster. I disagree with him. While it would be very hard to compete with Michigan and OSU, and I don't think we can benchmark against them at this point, being in the 25 range will keep us right where we are. Need to get a couple top 15 classes with talent that pushes us to a top ten/15 ranking, then we hopefully get consistently better recruits and you can always catch lightning in a bottle with a few studs where we can compete on the field with anyone.
  9. Chris jones should be worrying more about covering WRs, which he didnt do in the bowl game, than about some recruits. Kids these days are a bunch of pussies!Key word: Kids. Get off his back.
  10. His H.S. receiver buddy verballed to OSU last June. That kid is only 5'5"!
  11. A while ago he did say he planned to take visits in January and make a final decision. I think those tears were regret.
  12. Noon on NBCI've never watched the Under Armour All-American Bowl... are all of the commitment decisions televised right after the game? They do them throughout the game.
  13. After Foster and Chuck, yes. Unless they wanna make a late run at Blaise the Minnesota commit. Before the Fleck hire Blaise said he's sticking with the Goofs, regardless of coach.
  14. You literally ruin everything dudeMy wife shares your sentiments
  15. That changed quickly. I like how he says "my recruitment is still open." It's like getting a girl and telling her you're only real committment is to date around.
  16. Who's that? I see their CB coach is from Colorado and their safeties coach is from Louisville, but was at USC the year prior. It's the guy from Louisville. He just said Oregon hired the guy who was recruiting him from USC and had also recruited him at Louisville. I was guessing the other order but he didn't specify. Gotcha, thanks. Thought if it was a current USC DB coach that may impact Darnay, Johnson, etc.
  17. Who's that? I see their CB coach is from Colorado and their safeties coach is from Louisville, but was at USC the year prior.
  18. Sure was easy choosing a college as an unathletic kid with no hard deadline and parents who didn't favor one D3 option over another.
  19. I see what you're saying but with this kid showing interest I don't think so.
  20. It would be nice if we knew who wanted him to go where so we knew who to root for! I'm sort of pulling for Dad. He knows best Darnay. Yeah. Listen to your dad. I think.
