  1. How many teams in the Big 12 would do well against Ohio State, Michigan, USC, Florida?
  2. I'm sorry, but I don't see that we are even close to being back. We won a very weak division of a weak conference. We used numerous "special" plays to beat a terrible Colorado team and then turned around and did nothing against Oklahoma. This is not Husker football and we certainly aren't back.
  3. Does anyone know if the seats in Arrowhead have backs on them or are the like the seats at Memorial Stadium? If the seats don't have backs, does anyone know if seats can be purchased/rented?
  4. Anyone have any wallpaper for the Big 12 Championship? Thanks
  5. I was there and agree that it was rushed. The loud speaker wasn't in sync with the player running out onto the field. Also, because of the TV time and everything I'm not even sure if all seniors were introduced. I thought it was a let down.
  6. I loved watching the trick/special plays unfold on Friday, but I have to admit it's a bit concerning that we had to dig deep into the playbook and use those plays against a two win team. Did this bother any of you?
  7. Would you rather that we play the Sooners or the Horns in the Big 12 Championship?
  8. Zac Taylor is a good player and has been a great Husker, but no, neither his jersey nor his number should be retired. He has played for the Huskers for just two years. He has not won a Heisman or a National Championship. Nebraska has had many great players who have not received this honor and Taylor should not either.
  9. I think it's a publicity stunt for Tampax....... Yeah, that's intelligent.
  10. Please let me know which part of the stadium is the "student section". Thanks!
  11. Do you think he could/should make the leap after missing an entire season? For our sake I really hope he stays.
  12. I can handle the bye week, but I hate all the time off between the Big 12 Champ game and the bowl game. Now that's hard!
  13. I agree. We need a good backup behind Keller. We have been very fortunate that Zac Taylor did not get hurt this season. We would have been in a world of hurt had that happened.
  14. I really like Zac Taylor and think he's done a good job at NU, but I don't think he ranks ahead of Frazier, Frost, Crouch, Tagge. Winning a National Championship trumps individual stats. Crouch didn't win the NC, but a Heisman certainly counts for something.
  15. Close games against great teams are exciting and make for great memories. However, close games against teams we should (and used to) beat with ease are not fun.
  16. I think if we can get a win here it will give us the confidence to win other "big" road games.
  17. From Erick Smith's column in usatoday.com: No. 23 Texas A&M vs. No. 25 Nebraska, 3:30 p.m. Two things working against Dennis Franchione and the Aggies this week: In the past four years, Texas A&M is 2-9 in November and has yet to win in eight games against Texas, Oklahoma and Nebraska. However, all bad things must come to an end. Texas A&M 27, Nebraska 24. http://www.usatoday.com/sports/college/col...08-column_x.htm
  18. I don't know why Husker fans get so upset about the lack of respect being shown to Nebraska. As soon as we make some noise and start winning big games, the respect will come. Action speaks louder than words.
  19. I agree with everything you said. Bill Callahan and staff may be great, but I'm not seeing it thus far. I think Callahan takes an NFL approach and thinks it's ok to lose one or two games, but that's not how it works in college. Every game counts and instead of playing to minimize a loss, lets play hard, lets play to win every single time! That's what I liked about Bo Pelini. I think he took the talent he had an motivated. Sorry to sort of get off topic with the Pelini comment, but even with the win over Mizzou I'm frustrated. I want our program to be one of the best in the nation again and I'm not seeing it happen. "Winning" the north is setting our sights kind of low in my opinion.
  20. We may not like how he said it, but can anyone really argue with what he said?
  21. I'm not saying this to cause trouble or dis Callahan. I do hope Callahan can take us to the top, but I have always felt that Bo Pelini would have been a better fit at NU. He's blue collar, like most of Nebraska and he says what he feels. I never get the feeling that Callahan is speaking from his heart. To borrow one of his own words, he's always using "coach speak". Pelini takes the players he has and makes the most of it. Callahan won't do that and it has hurt us. Pelini wouldn't have let our bowl streak come to an end. Anyway, this is a good article about Pelini. http://www.denverpost.com/colleges/ci_4605995
  22. Who knows if it's true or not, but if it is true I can't say that I blame him. With his talent he should be playing more.
  23. Has the time been set for the Texas A&M game and will it be televised? Thanks
  24. I agree with what you say and I too am a long time fan. I have lived in Nebraska all my life and I love the Huskers in all sports. I buy the merchandise and attend games, so I do have a right to voice my frustrations when I am not happy. I really did think this would be the breakout year for Callahan and Co., but now I'm having second thoughts. Having said that, I did agree that it was time for Solich to go, so don't get started on that. But we need someone in here who respects our past and wants to do what it takes to win. Callahan has shown that he will not adapt to what the players do best, and look where it's taking us, down Mediocre Lane.
  25. I agree that all the talk about "winning the North" is crazy! Does anyone really win the North or is it just the last team standing gets a chance at being a sacrifical lamb?
