"IP boards" do not allow a user to delete an account themselves...they must ask a moderator/admin.

  2. You will have to look that up on your own as I'm sure no one on this board that remembers it will volunteer that inconvenient truth to you. Personally...I'm off this board for good. Happy blissful ignorance to all.
  3. Doesn't matter how many times you ring that bell, Suh has higher brain function (and opposable thumbs) and is capable of determining right and wrong. He can be taught aggression all he wants, but the bottom line is, HE has the choice to follow that conditioning or to make better choices. HE chose to stomp the guy (and behead Delhomme, and smoosh Cutler). Not his coaches, not society, him. When your criminal raised on the wrong side of the tracks with all the wrong stimulus robs that bank, we're not putting society in jail, we're putting the criminal in jail. Why? Because we're not letting that criminal cop out on some bogus psychological "I was conditioned to do it, your honor." We expect adults to make proper choices, no matter how much chow is placed in their bowl before the bell rings. You just told me that you, as an individual, have absolutely no responsibility to; or for society. Because, whether you like it or not...criminals are part of the society you built. But rather than acknowledge your castle made of sand...you choose to turn a blind eye. And this is why America is falling apart. That criminal is someone elses problem. Now...why wasn't Suh arrested for sucker punching his own team mate and breaking his nose and cheek bone? I'm sure you or I would have been. Oh...thats right...he was a Cornhusker at the time. Same goes for Lawrence Phillips. He was fine as a Cornhusker too. And I'm sure that now that we are done with him, by golly, he deserves to rot in jail too. Another guy we could have helped while he was here instead of turning our heads and letting him play. Oh no officer...It most certainly is "More than Winning" Hmm...where have I heard that title before??
  4. He says while throwing his insignificant, infantile and impotent little bread crumbs. lol
  5. You're an idiot. Ok Mr. Accountability. Heres your chance to be accountable and shine. Do tell...EXACTLY why, in your opinion, am I an idiot. Not saying I disagree with you, but it's always nice to see how the flavor of my idiocy tastes to others.
  6. The ONLY person responsible for Suh's behavior is Ndamukong Suh. Not his coaches, not society, just Suh. The only people that are responsible for letting Suh GET AWAY WITH that kind of behaviour with just a little pat on the butt, are the people charged with educating and coaching him....and the only people responsible for making the coaches feel like they need to let him get away with it, is the culture that expects those coaches and players to win at all costs lest they lose their jobs. Suh learned early that the premium on winning is much higher than taking personal responsibility for his actions. He was allowed to get away with it. AND THAT IS UNDENIABLE.
  7. The ONLY person responsible for Suh's behavior is Ndamukong Suh. Not his coaches, not society, just Suh. Hmmm. Tell that to Pavlov's dog.
  8. Suh is not the problem. Our culture is the problem, but none the less; I would like to know the opinion of Suh, from the offensive lineman whose face he literally broke with a sucker punch back in about Suh's soph year at NU. I think he broke his nose and his cheek bone if I recall. The university and the media swept it under the rug quicker than a hoover vacuum cleaner could get to it. I remember thinking at the time that he probably should have been arrested for assault. And now...all of a sudden...everyones wondering whats wrong? "Thats just not Suh"? That is how Suh has been molded. Of that...there is no denial in my mind. Ahh...Nebraska...the good life. Children of the Corn...unite in shock! It must be a conspiracy. LOL
  9. Before the season I thought 8-4 would be reasonably successful. I am not disappointed overall. Actually...I am very encouraged as Taylor Martinez is playing a lot better than I ever thought he would be capable. I'm pleasantly suprised with being wrong about him. I guess it's all a matter of perspective and expectations. I would say 8-4 would be pretty dissapointing because it means, yet again, we went 1-3 to finish the season. Yet again, we skated through our non-con schedule to lay an egg once things get tough. there are 5 wins built into our schedule every year. that leaves 7 other games. those are the ones that count. I'm not happy going 3-4 during the 7 games against teams that have a practice field and don't ride in on a yellow school bus. We have to finish better. At this point 8-4 would be a mild disappointment...but if you actually read my post you would see that it states "Before the season I thought 8-4 would be reasonably successful" (Key hint being..."BEFORE THE SEASON"). It's kind of funny that it is always the "Homer" fans with out of whack expectations at the beginning of the year that are the ones that are quickest to "turn" when reality hits. And in the classic "Homer's" mind's eye...if you aren't as upset over all of this as they think you should be...you aren't a true fan. I also find it kind of funny that when Pelini was hired, I was a little disappointed that Osborne didn't hire Turner Gill as I thought he was a better fit for NU. It is absoulutely ironic, and a little hilarious how a good many Husker fans that were such Pelini "Homers" when he was hired, are the ones that are most disappointed in him now. Imagine that...unreasonable college football fans. lol

  11. The measure of a country's sanity is not it's crime...but it's reaction to it's crime.
  12. Personally...I think that the football program should be disbanded and Memorial Stadium could be turned into a good ol' fashion Midwestern redneck, mother of all Truck Pulling/ Demolition Derby venues. No sense in wasting a perfectly good stadium.
  13. Well...maybe we should start a "Fire Bo" containment thread also. And while we are at it...a "bench Martinez" sub forum and a "fire Barney Cotton" sub forum and a "Burnt Redshirt" subforum...and a "What went wrong" sub forum...and a...
  14. He has lacked humility in the past. Wait and see how humble he becomes when he continues to lose to teams he's not supposed to and people start calling for his head. Then you will see humble. He will start realizing he can't get away with his temper tantrum antics once he starts losing his supporters. It's actually all quite fascinating to watch though. I hope he is a success in the long run, but even if he's not...he has provided some entertainment value.
  15. For someone that is basically trying to tell people to get over themselves...you sure seem to be into yourself. You take yourself a lot more seriously than any NU fans take the Huskers. LOL. Mel Gibson would be proud of that rant though.
  16. That is a big crock. Hell I could hear the crowd counting down the play clock watching the game on TV. To blame the fans for poor coaching is to buy into the argument that its the fans fault for that piss poor coaching. And who blames the fans? Pelini. Pelini because he doesn't know what he is doing 1/2 the time yet. Pelini...because he is still a young, inexperienced hothead that is a poor loser and lashes out at everyone and every thing when it hurts. Now...I have to say that "losing" when he knows he shouldn't, seems to have brought him down a notch or 2 when it comes to dealing with the press conferences after the game. He seems to have settled down a little. The more calls he get's for his head on a platter...the more humble he will become, I believe. Oh...and by the way...just because you are a polite cusser ("dad gum") doesn't mean that you aren't a prick. And just because a few fans leave early doesn't make them pathetic. It just means they have better or other things to do. Hell...I dont sit around in a theater and watch a movie that I don't like. They paid for their tickets, they can leave anytime they want. You whiney little fans that cry like this after a loss need to get some balance in your pathetic little lives. And for those of you that want the "blue hairs" to leave so that you can get their tickets, remember...if it wasn't for those blue hairs...you wouldn't have a team to whine about. Snot nosed little punks. lol Sometimes I think that the best thing that could happen to Nebraska would be for it's football team to go back to the pre-Devaney era of indifference...THEN...we would see who the REAL fans are. Future blue hairs no doubt.....
  17. People keep saying that Bo is an 'average coach' yet every time there is a coaching opening Husker Nation gets all nervous that Bo is going to be in the top 5 pick. People were all up in the air when the whole Ohio State fiasco started brewing. Bo's name was near the top of everyone's list and on this board the hot topic was whether Bo would leave or not. Sorry, but I disagree. Bo is on the way to being a great coach. He's done things for this team and brought the moral of Husker Nation from the toilet where Callahan and Co. left us back up into prominence again. Before this game we were #10 in the nation. THAT is not something a 'mediocre' coach does. You've kind of proven my point. People get nervous about Bo leaving because they know how hard of a time Pederson had finding a coach that actually wanted to come to Nebraska. It is not easy to find someone to come to Nebraska considering the locale and the over inflated expectations of the spoiled fan base. That's how we ended up with Callahan. Bo was hired by Osborne based solely on the success of his defense in '03' when he worked for Solich. He was a fan favorite because of that and had overwhelming support from the fans. He was in essence...'over-rated' and over-hyped' as a possible head coach. I don't think he is a bad coach...he is just not as good as most give him credit for. He lacks experience. Can he get better? Of course he can. But if and when he does...I'm guessing that when the opportunity comes along...he will leave. The one thing I think that works in our favor right now (and the reason I don't think Bo could go anywhere else yet)...is Bo's clumsiness and total ineptness when it comes to dealing with the press. He brings on the scrutiny that he hates...himself...by his reactions and it's really kind of a p.r. embarrassment that causes more scrutiny. The press here is mild compared to some of the larger markets yet he can barely handle our press. His head would literally explode in a place like Florida or Penn State or even LSU. And I'm guessing that he knows that. The only thing that will change the press is winning championships...and until he starts doing that...he ain't goin nowhere Huskerland. So; for better or worse...Bo is ours until he starts winning or until he gets fired.
  18. Nebraska fans are too full of themselves. The landscape of college football has changed and it is not ever going to be easy for a team like Nebraska to dominate. Get used to it. Bo is an average coach overall, but he is what we have. We are never going to attract top level coaching talent, and any top coaches we get in the future will probably not stay long. That being said...I'm guessing that Bo and company are very grateful for the fact that they even have a job at this level. And if he ever does bring NU back to dominance...he won't stick around long if he starts getting more attractive offers from major market football programs.
  19. All people are doing is looking back on the NU/OU rivalry with nostalgia. It is not some pining, jilted-ex-girlfriend thing. It was good football and it was fun. There's nothing wrong with remembering it fondly. There's nothing wrong with thinking it might be fun to play them again, just like it's not wrong to think about playing Oregon, Boise St., Kansas, Iowa State, Missouri, Notre Dame, or to discuss upcoming games against UCLA, Miami, or anyone else. The concept that you can't speak fondly about Oklahoma is more annoying than the people speaking fondly about Oklahoma. With the exception that most of you come off like clingy, whiny, jilted ex-girlfriends. For christ's sake...let it go. It is sentiment that is, percentage wise, very one sided. With the majority of piners coming from the NU side...certainly not worth a 3 page message string. Have a little self respect and dignity. Someone is Projecting. That is absolutely hilarious considering your overdramatic assumptions about my original post on the subject. LOL. Is "projecting" a term that you just learned in a "Heal Your Inner Child" class that you are taking? Or maybe you are in a Psych 101 class or something and spreading your wings by applying these terms on a sports message board. LOL. Anyway...It'll be ok sunshine. Really...a link to such a common term? You have insulted me for the last time cad! lol. I'm not stoopid ya know. And I'm not insecure either....so stop talkin about me!

  21. Really people...let OU. vs NU. RIP. I remember watching the '71' game vividly and I can let it go. Lots of rampant insecurity going on here with that one. Cut the cord and fly Nebraska fans...You've got one thing that no other team in major college football can say they have...The best record over the last 40 years. Thats the most important tradition...Do I hear 50? Can I at least get an amen?
  22. Was it my imagination or did he seem a little despondent in the post game presser. I'm guessing he; and the rest of the team are getting tired of the media frenzy and questions about T-mart. They sure do ask some stupid ones. I'm sure the Pelini post-game temper tantrum in the locker room had something to do with that but...he really seemed like he wasn't himself. Almost like someone who's not having fun playing A GAME anymore. Sometimes...this obsessive drive to "perfection" seems a little psychotic. But that's jmo.
  23. The jury is still out on whether our defense will keep us in any game. Martinez...aside from the fact that he is incredibly small, is going to start seeing faster defenses. I see him getting hurt at some point. I see him getting passes batted down. Our offensive line is still over rated in my mind. Sean Watson is definitely over rated..period. Quite frankly...I think we'd be better off with someone other then Barney Cotton coaching the O-line. And last but not least...have you been watching Alabama-Penn State? Now there is an offensive line.
