I think we should all prepare ourselves for the reality that this staff is bound to change sooner or later. Carl has a pretty good gig going. But like most successful coordinators, most aspire to greater heights, more $, head coaching job, etc, etc. Carl, Watson, Ek, JP, Gilmore, Beck all will have opportunities in the near future. Hell, even our gazillionaire volunteer intern will have offers made to him. I'm sure i've missed others...We have been very fortunate to have the staff continuity that we've had. Hopefully he and Bo's relationship will keep him here for a long time. BTW- Hasn't he made his HC aspirations public? i was thinking he had but couldn't remember....

I can't afford tickets to the texass game. I can't afford tickets to the Piano Tail Gate. But you know what? My wife and I will be there. Being the parents of a child w/ CF leaves me with little choice, if there even is one. The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation is one of the national leaders in converting fundraiser monies to research dollars as 92% of money raised is committed directly to research. And We are SOOO F'n close to finding the cure. So Close...YOU can make a difference. The science is there, but the money is not. We hope to see you all there.

I admire everyone's optimism but do not think we hold DT under 100. I still think we win going away but do not have that level of confidence in our front 7 stopping the run. See Bobby Rainey, Mike? Minnett, and UW's running back beofre they HAD to throw. I believe in my heart of hearts that Bo and Carl will have this D ready to play. I beleive we will win. I just don't beleive that we hold DT to under a hundy.

Run the football, run, run, and then maybe run some more. Sprinkle in play action high percentage short passes(per the usual). If UW's d brings a safety up to help in run support, look for T Mart to throw the ball down field. I know we'll be able to run the ball. I just hope we pass cuz we want to, and not cuz we feel like we need to....... I think the game plan(WTF do I know?) will revolve around running the fball, keeping Tmart's confidence high, and playing sound D-regardless of weather.....

TOTALLY agree Irie. I am not going to get too high or too low depending on what I see tonight. As a Husker living in DSM I am watching Iowa paste and overmatched Illinois HS team while I prime for our game tonight. hawkeye faithful will annoint themsleves MNC's and have not one, but two Heisman candidates by 3 PM this afternoon. I kid you not. Noone wants to be that guy....

LONG time lurker, first time posting!! Couldn't be more excited for today!! You may want to check out Sidetrack in Waukee(Hickman) or Mickey's on 86th St. in Clive. I haven't been to Sidetrack but Mickeys usually has plenty of gameday seating. It's usually a little busier for night games. Mickey's used to have Runza's too. Good Luck and GBR!!
