  1. lol, they said Oregon's defense with the stop, more like Nebraska's offense and Tommy couldn't get the first down.
  2. Prevent defenses are only good at preventing your team from winning.
  3. Offense needs to keep scoring, D is falling apart.
  4. Tommy hurt wouldn't be good, need his running ability.
  5. This and Wisconsin barely escaping with a win against Georgia State has the SEC Trolls screeching.
  6. Worst case I see is 7-5 and best is 10-2. Fresno W Wyoming W Oregon L @ Northwestern W (L) Illinois W @ Indiana W Purdue W @ Wisconsin W (L) @ tOSU L Minnesota W Maryland W @ Iowa W (L) As long as Tommy isn't chucking the ball down field, that is what I see. If he is chucking it, five losses.
  7. Very nice four star recruit, nice recruiting class so far, may finish 4th in the Big Ten.
  8. A return to the option sure sounds great to me. How Nebraska Can Return to College Football Greatness http://www.huffingtonpost.com/james-marshall-crotty/how-to-get-the-nebraska-c_b_8668948.html?utm_source=newsletter&utm_medium=newsletter&utm_campaign=nebraska-cornhuskers-football AD won't ever hire anyone that fits that style of offense though.
  9. Not sure what is BS about it, just put yourself in the shoes of a coach that Nebraska wants to hire. Do you go there after seeing them fire a nine win coach and then the very next guy only gets one year? Maybe some no-name comes here but I guarantee you that no elite coach would want to put himself in that position. Like I said, if I were the AD, Riley wouldn't even be here today and we wouldn't be having this conversation but alas....
  10. I don't disagree with the identity fit, we should never have hired anyone that does not run the option in my opinion, but... we cannot fire Riley after one season, it would be a bigger disaster than firing Solich (be kind, missing that option here). No coach in America, and I mean no coach in college or pros will ever come here if we fire a guy after one season after firing a guy that won nine games every year and that is a fact. We are stuck with Riley, you all may as well get used to it and support Nebraska football, the alternative (never happen with our AD) would be the biggest mistake this university has ever made.
  11. We would have beat Iowa minus four interceptions. The defense is much better than when Bo was coach, we were in all of the games this season and not one nationally televised blowout (and humiliating) loss. WR's were falling down, did they forget how to run? Does Tommy know how to check down to his receivers or make decisions on the fly? Seems everytime he goes back to pass, he knows exactly where he is going to throw it and chucks it to that receiver whether he is open or not. This is not the kind of QB you want running your offense. Tommy doesn't fit this offense at all, maybe next season we will have a QB that does. I've seen some bright spots this season and I am actually somewhat optimistic about what Riley can do here once he gets his kind of players on the field. As with any coaching change, we'll just have to wait and see.

    WTF

I like the fact that the team is competitive in these games, don't like the losing on the opponent's final drive of the game. Lots of blame to go around; talent level, the round pegs in square holes and the coaching.
  13. I am still glad Bo is gone, he was an immature little child and a bad head coach, I for one will not miss those embarrassing blowout losses in nationally televised games. No one should be satisfied with 9 wins, no championships and tantrum fits on the sidelines. Storming Eichorst's office won't change anything, he is the one that got us into this mess by making the wrong hire. He is the one that needs to be fired, Riley and co. can follow him out the door. But who do we hire next as AD? Will that person follow the same plan Eichorst had in bringing a pro style coach to Nebraska? We've tried it twice now, time to abandon that change.
  14. My only concern with Frost is head coaching experience, not a fan of hiring coordinators especially after our last one. Would love to see him go somewhere, head coach there and prove that he can win with that program before coming to Lincoln.
