  1. I have said even before the season started that Dennard is better than Prince Amukamara, yes better than the #2 corner in the nation.
  2. I am being an unbiased fan. We each have 2 top 25 wins. Our conferences are equal, but they have a better loss. Nebraska is the only team in the top 10 that has a loss to an unranked opponent. Ya someone honestly has to explain Stanford being rated that high, or how Auburn isnt #1.
  3. Latest BCS rankings. Remaining schedule. <Loss/Losses> .(Wins against top 25 teams). 1. Oregon – #22 Arizona, Oregon State (#6 Stanford) 2. Auburn - @ #11 Alabama, *SEC Title Game (#5 LSU, #13 South Carolina, #17 LSU) 3. TCU – @ New Mexico (#23 Utah) 4. Boise State – Fresno State, @ #18 Nevada, Utah State (#16 Virginia Tech) 5. LSU – Mississippi, @ #13 Arkansas <#2 Auburn> (#11 Alabama) – Can’t win division/conference 6. Stanford - @ California, Oregon State <#1 Oregon> (#22 Arizona) – Can’t win conference 7. Wisconsin - @ Michigan, Northwestern <#12 Michigan State> (#9 Ohio State, #20 Iowa) 8. Nebraska - @ # 19 Texas A&M, Colorado *Big 12 Title Game <Texas> (#10 Oklahoma State, #15 Missouri) 9. Ohio State - @ #20 Iowa, Michigan < #7 Wisconsin> (#24 Miami) 10. Oklahoma State - @ Kansas, #14 Oklahoma, *Big 12 Title Game < #8 Nebraska> (#19 Texas A&M) -How is Oregon #1 when the SEC is the best conference and Auburn is the only team to beat 3 top 25 teams? -The Pac 10 is overrated -Ohio State and TCU really haven't beaten anyone -If Boise State wins out they should with no doubt play for the NC -Auburn WILL lose to Alabama to make the BCS chaos -Iowa WILL beat Ohio State What it should be… 1. Auburn 2. Oregon 3. Boise State 4. TCU 5. LSU 6. Wisconsin 7. Nebraska 8. Stanford 9. Ohio State 10. Oklahoma State NEBRASKA - Ok. I know that the national title picture was closer last week than people thought with Oregon, Auburn, TCU, and Stanford all having close games. The chances of us still going are unlikey, but a Big 12 Title and a BCS game are plenty good. The only team that is 100% going to win out is TCU. They only have beaten 1 top 25 team in Utah. Nebraska still has to play a ranked A&M and a top 10 ranked Oklahoma St or Oklahoma in the Big 12 Title game. This will have us jump at least 4 spots in the last BCS rankings because I think Aubrun will lose and LSU and Stanford cant win their own conference, but lets not forget the 01' Nebraska team that didnt win the Big 12 and still played for the NC.
  4. I understand what you're saying, but I'd be careful with this statement. Teams that score the fewest TDs in the nation and give up the most TDs in the nation win very few games... just sayin. Well the team would still be scoring, but wouldn't be the guy who got the drive down to the goal line. We must also realize that being honest with ourselves we've only opened up the offense once or twice this entire year---same with last season.
  5. Why write on forums, tailgate, tunnel walk, cheer, watch the band, watch game on tv, wear retro jerseys? This is COLLEGE football. Things like this are what make college football great, especially for the kids playing it. They get pumped up for things like this. I never said gameday was going to have an outcome on the game it is just cool to watch if your team is apart of it. Talking about a "product", being either popular or garbage. I dont think wearing Air Walks from Walmart are as cool as Nike Air Jordans from Foot Locker. Dont know if anyone will get that or if it has relevance to what you were saying, just thought I'd toss it out there for ya.
  6. I'm glad someone came up with this to prove that touchdowns are the most OVERRATED stat in sports. So if we handed the ball off to our #3 running back on the goal everytime because he was a big back and he scored 2 yard touchdowns, and the #1 running back had 70 yards on the drive with no touchdowns---Who is better? No I'm not saying Niles Paul is Jerry Rice, but he has very solid yards per catch average, and is a good punt and kick returner.
  7. I never seem to be amazed by gameday's decisions. Nebraska vs Texas A&M is by far the best game next weekend. I know some people might not care but it's nice to have because they focus on interviews of the team for good publicity. In my mind it also helps recruiting, and helps voters if we play well.
  8. Dont remember me thinking we were going to contend for a national championship or even think these guys were going to be something great in 07. I will say if we dont go for a national championship in the next 3 years with this talent-- it will be a FAIL. I have honestly no doubt in my mind that we will. I know thats going out on a limb, but its how I feel, and I know talent when I see it.
  9. 2011/2012 Depth Chart Look out for these freshman that might not start initially, but will see the field plenty. 10. Just wondering if anyone had any information on these two players.
  11. I hope this kid can get his grades up. Anyone know if he is going to be enrolled in January? Triple Threat = T-Magic, Aaron Green, Braylon Heard.
  12. I am going to my first Husker game in a long time this weekend and want to know what are some things to do before the game. I am taking my girlfriend, and my brother and his girlfriend who have never been to a game. I need specifics like where they are such as trophy rooms, and other athletic facilities or other cool attractions. Also we wanna enjoy the tunnel walk how early do we need to go down before the game? Help is needed!!!Thank YOU
  13. David starts, Compton Starts....WE have 2 LBs Martin and Whaley havent shown enough.
  14. I agree with Paul 100%. We will HAVE to pass sooner or later when we play a good defense which we havent yet. SDSU exposed us fully. Paul is a beast at wideout and we need to target him, Kinnie, and Mcneill more often. Then there goes the run game.
  15. Kansas State - All we have to do is stop Thomas and we win. Texas - Our secondary will destroy Gilbert (they got worked on their own rug by UCLA)---Revenge should propel the W Oklahoma State - This will be the toughest test IMO. Great offense in a descent enviroment, but their D is only sub par.
  16. Its still early to say whos schedule is tougher. Ok St, K St, A&M, are still undefeated so dont know there. "Big" games you might be able to give it to Boise but from a week to week grind there is no comparison from the WAC to the Big 12, no matter how down it is. Also have to remember the Big 12 title game as well. Oklahoma could be undefeated or we would have to face Texas again.
  17. Defense - Terrence Moore Offense - Niles Paul *He will sooon, I promise you...
  18. The Prince and Kinnie both should be on here I agree. Im just sick of fumbling the football - Martinez, Helu Jr, Niles Paul
  19. 10) Rickey Thenarse - 25 Tackles, 1 Int, 1 FF 9) P.J. Smith - 15 Tackles, 3 Int 8) Jared Crick - 20 Tackles, 5 TFL, 2.5 Sacks 7) Alex Henery - 2-2 FG, 43.8 Punt Avg, 7 Inside 20 6) Roy Helu Jr - 324 Rushing Yds, 4 TDs 5) Dejon Gomes - 30 Tackles, 1 TD, 1 Int, 1 PBU 4) Alfonzo Dennard - 12 Tackles, 1 TD 3 Int, 2 PBU 3) Lavonte David - 44 Tackles, 2 TFL, 1 Sack, 5 PBU 2) T-Magic - 60%, 532 Yds 2 TD, 537 Yds, 8 TD 1) Rex Burkhead - 310 Yds 3 TD, 97 Rec Yds *Doesn't Fumble*

  21. (8) Nebraska (2-0, 0-0 away) Washington (1-1, 1-0 home) 65°F / 54°F Precip: 60% Coverage: ABC/ESPN3 3:30 PM ET, September 18, 2010 Husky Stadium, SEATTLE, WA Nebraska Leaders Passing: Martinez - 21-32, 242 yds, 0 tds Rushing: Martinez - 21 car, 284 yds, 5 tds Receiving: Paul - 9 rec, 123 yds, 1 td Washington Leaders Passing: Locker - 42-70, 555 yds, 5 tds Rushing: Polk - 36 car, 209 yds, 1 td Receiving: Kearse - 14 rec, 287 yds, 4 tds I've heard all speculations about Saturday's game. -Freshman QB in a tough enviroment. -The rain could hurt our chances.-I'm nervous to play such a high powered offense. Now lets get serious, we have the best secondary in the nation. We have made Colt Mccoy, Landry Jones, Todd Reesing look like first time starting QB's last year. I know there are some new faces, but I like what I see. Is Washington going to make some big plays on offense? Probably. If anyone watched Nebraska last year you would know that we couldn't do anything. The big plays Martinez will make this year will outshine his mistakes. We have a way more powerful football team than Washington. If we want to call ourselves a top 5 team in the nation, then Saturday is a stepping stone in that direction. Lets start to get the swagger back for Nebraska. Only being a 3 point favorite sounds easy to cover for me, but all teams have to have something to worry about, so here are mine. -We have had a similiar schedule with two easy opponents and a tough 3rd game. Now this Washington is no USC or Vtech but this can pose some question marks. -We have to shut down RB Chris Polk. Our passing D will be there, but the run D has to follow closely. -I love everything about T-Magic so far, but there needs to be a time when Watson stretches the field with some vertical passes or sooner or later this will catch up with us. *Final Analysis - Nebraska needs to play well in order for them to get some respect as a top team in the country. I see this one being an average margine of victory to get the season rolling. Yes, this game will show us a lot about this football team. Nebraska 27 Washington 10
