I agree Rodriguez was a bad apple, but do you mind me asking why you dislike Hoke's Wolverines? I'm just not a fan of the style of play..or shoelace. Bring back Hart and Henne and I'll be a fan again (at least behind UW of course). Either way I'll still root for you all against OSU. That's the one team in the conference I will always hate. tOSU has been my least favorite non-con (as a Big8/12 member) college football team not named Miami for as long as I can remember. The sweater just etched it in stone for me.....man seeing that guy standing on the sideline with his holier than thou attitude.......and that DAMN VEST......would drive me nuts. Arrrgghhhhhh. I'm rarely right on any topic, but with god and my wife as witnesses - I've been saying the vest was a crook for YEARS! He was just 'too' perfect. It felt GREAT to be right on that one. Probably not going to win the same argument with Tebow down the road, though.

Well...don't forget about " The Great Book Scandal' at NU. That almost tore down Memorial Stadium and all the tradition with it.....

Dang it! I knew it...and I knew there was a bylaw that states no night games after October in the B1G......but thought there was an exception because of TV or something....then I actually looked today and....yep 11AM. This is officially the first time in my life I REALLY believed a dream or something....I was so sure of it...I put it on an invite.

I must be losing it.....I could have sworn there was a change in time for the Iowa game to 6PM, but it's still listed at 11AM. Was this ever the case or am I nuts?

We still have to beat MICHIGAN and IOWA before 99% of the comments in this thread even matter. NW might seem like a 'good' loss by the time we're done. Sure hope not...but sheesh....the way this season has gone.....

Hmm. That sounds familiar. When did we start accepting mediocrity around here? I support Bo as much as the next guy, but I don't let my support blind the fact that Bo has glaring deficiencies as a head coach. Since when are 10 win seasons mediocre? Did I miss the NCAA ruling that each season is 20 games? No $hit. Reactions on here are driving me bonkers.....just a game man and at least to a respectable Pat Fitzy....... Huskers just didn't have thier kind of day.....what can you say?

I gotta say......everyone is bummed about the loss... But - this press conference was one of the better one's of Bo's career. He's just, FINALLY, being a good loser. Especially when he could be livid. I realize the reaction on here is what it is....but Badgerfan said it best...welcome to the B1G to us. I'm bummed, a loss that didn't need to occur....but not the end of the world. Hopefully we can pull out a couple more wins. Those saying Bo needs to go (at the risk of getting in trouble on here) are frickin' nuts. Still love the skers and can't wait to watch next week.

Take out the turnovers and, really man, today's offense was just fine.....FAR from Watson or last year.

I concur with everyone who stated that this thread is nonsense. GIve me a break. I thought it was good to see how hard the team tried to come back. Lots of good and bad. Bo going will mark the formal end of anything NU that is to be 'elite'....forever.

Please - for the love of god....there is no rule about having to win your conference and getting to the BCS championship. They are two separate things, only except winning a conf championship gives you one more win and a 'better' chance at getting to the MNC. It isn't a requirement.

As many of you know, Cox Cable for some reason hasn't figured out how to agree with the BTN on the BTN2GO logistics....so.....no replay ability and I'm on the road with the BBQ Team in TN. Anyone know where I can watch the game replay online besides on the BTN2GO site? How about at least a good 10 - 15 min recap with all the good stuff? Thanks!

Wait... how is that guiltless? I was confused about cheese being healthy so I went to their website and the cheese runza is more calories than the original (The whole meal is 960 without ranch). But maybe that has nothing to do with what you were trying to say. Hahahaha....yea - I was completely joking. It's horrible...yet so good!

Lazlo's in Lincoln (in the Hay Market) has some really good brews. Not official beer...but good stuff. Micro brew. Thirdstone Brown is one of my favs. Other than micro brews, I don't think there is any major beer maker in NE. NE used to have Falstaff! Long gone tho........ Soaring Wings winery is good....and in Springfield, not too far from Gretna. Good tour for a great price. Don't listen to the Runza haters....they are good man. If you want to be guiltless, get a cheese Runza and dip it in their homemade ranch with a side of large fries! I only eat fast food once or twice a year...and that's what I get.

Is it weird that I love Runzas but I find Val's pizza to be disgusting? Nope. I completely agree. Val's gives me heartburn. The sauce is terrible.

It sounds like a good time - hopefully we'll be able to get in and have a good cut of beef. I don't think any of us has had Runzas or Vanentinos, but one member of our group has been to Omaha for the NCAA World Series so he may have tried both. Will we be able to find tickets on game day or should we start looking at Stub Hub or Craigslist or another ticket outlet? I would recommend looking for tickets now. NU has sold out 315 (about to be 316) straight home games and tickets are pretty hard to come by...especially against a good MSU team. Runza is a great place to eat...definately recommend it. Misty's is great too. Valentino's should be one of your last list items...it's not all that IMO. Parker's BBQ in Ashland (between Gretna and Lincoln) is good. Tailgating in Lincoln is probably more fun that going into the game. Find 1620 the Zone radio station and you've hit the pinnacle of tailgating in Lincoln....also underneath the interstate via duct is pretty fun. TONS of folks...the city / game day experience is right up there with the best of them. Love your trip idea. I am going to suggest this to my buddies tomorrow night. We might steal your idea.

I'm not entirely sure that NU used the 'Peso" defense this past Saturday....but all season long I've been wondering if it would have been best NU left that in as the 'base' defense anyway. Everyone likes to say 'The B1G is run heavy, power football', but in reality....more than half the teams we are going to play this year are teams with mobile QBs, that like to throw the ball around a bit. Not the spread fo the BIG 12, but certainly not 180 degrees different either. Might have been over analyzed by the coaches.....why 'fix' something when it's not broken? Easy to say now....but it might be best to get the speed back on the field vs some bigger bodies.

I have posted many times over that Martinez will win the Heisman at NU. He is one of the best QBs NU has ever had. There is no question about it. All in due time....... Very happy the fans are backing off. I can't stay away from these message boards - but it's so hard to read after losses. Just plain rude what some people write.

With Garrett Gilbert as their presumed starting QB, I wouldn't put a dime on Texas. He'd have to be at least twice as good as he was last year for them to have a shot. Might have been better off getting $100 worth of scratch offs.... Yea...prolly true...though sounds like Colt Jr, you know - the real McCoy - is gonna get the nod.
