Seems everybody chooses words carefully when discussing Martinez -- everybody except Phillip Dillard, that is. The New York Giants rookie and ex-Husker linebacker raised eyebrows this week with a statement on his Facebook page regarding Martinez. Good God I hope not. I NEVER want to see some mamby-pamby dink and dunk passing offense in Lincoln. Nebraska football, from the beginning and to the present was BUILT on the ground, and only passing to open the running lanes. A guy like Paul Johnson, or even someone like whoever the offensive coordinator is at Wisconsin. Love to watch them bull their way down the field with a huge line and bruising backs. And I'm not alone. What? I thought Mike Leach would do great as Bo Pelini's offensive coordinator! The chemistry would be outstanding! I'm holding out hope that Pelini or Osborne have their eye on some young position coach, maybe in the NFL like Pelini was, who's going to come in and put together some kind of modern option offense that will tear it up with Martinez/Carnes/Turner/Starling at the helm. I would aim for someone from the Jets (not a Jets fan though) coaching staff since I enjoy their dedication to having a strong run offense but then I remember that BC would have come in contact with them so that was just ruined for me. Next team in the pros I thought matched with what Nebraska wants to do (run) and is having success was the Ravens. Callahan?

Correct me if I'm wrong but I'm pretty sure this would result in the same situation as two years ago with TT, Texas, and OU. They were all tied so the highest ranked team got in. This year, the highest ranked team would be Oklahoma. Unless they changed it to who won the head to head between the two highest ranked? Even if that were the case, Okie Lite could still be ranked ahead of Texas A&M. They'd have one fewer loss and they would have beat A&M. I'm not exactly sure how it works. It would be great if someone who knew spoke up! My guess is that you're right, though.

Nope. A more realistic scenario would be a Husker win, Oklahoma over Okie lite, and A&M over Texas. I would LOVE to play A&M again.

What's annoying is that a poorly thrown ball by T-Magic or Cody would probably be caught by McNeil while all our other receivers would find a way to drop a perfectly thrown football.

I suppose the obvious answer would be Dan Beebe.

If only. Bo's post game press conference will easily be one of the funniest things I've seen in a while if he gets his act together and the Huskers win out.
