  1. Game was over almost by the first play of game, just so strange that we were so outplayed from start to finish. Didn't expect this...
  2. Watching here in AZ, is it just me or are the B10 network games filmed with flip cameras? It's getting darker and darker and sort of orange'ish. There is one replay camera that looks normal but otherwise this telecast looks like crap, kind of like the game:(
  3. I am surprised at the responses here to this poster's topic. I couldn't agree more that I thought it was strange and somewhat dangerous to keep Burkhead and Taylor in the game, when one was definitely hurt and the other could get hurt in meaningless minutes. Also, why not give other players experience and time? As someone else said, even meaningless reps are still time on the field. Also, back in the days of TO, our 2nd and 3rd string guys were sometimes as good as the first because they got onto the field. If Taylor goes down, then what? Get some of our back-ups on the field and let them get some reps so they at least are somewhat prepared. A legit post in my mind.
  4. Love the Huskers for 30+ years, so not a troll, but reactions or responses like that from the head coach to reporters simply doing what reporters do, ask questions, was pretty amateurish by Bo. There are much better ways to handle questions like that than act like a 5 year-old, gum-chewing brat. I love Bo's fire and tenacity, but sometimes, you have to act like an adult and choose better ways to handle situations.
  5. I will too, I don't think he's the entire problem, it's the coaches calling all pass plays and abandoning the run. Taylor was put into a position to maybe not fail, but at least when things started going south, maybe let him run a few plays to get his confidence back. That's what kills me, I wanted to see how good Wisconsin was but against our run game. Let Burkhead and Martinez run on them and see what happens? Pass a few times to keep the defense honest but what the heck happened???
  6. I don't know the stats, but I would agree with that. Our defense has allowed a ton of yards and our offense has not been as explosive. Lots of big plays, but not a lot of long drives down the middle of the field. And tonight, well tonight was crap!
  7. I am upset as all of you, but I don't see blaming Martinez for this as he's playing to the best of his abilities. And maybe that's just not good enough, but our coaches put him in a position to fail. Taylor is one heck of an athlete and is blazing fast and agile. So why did we abandon the run and go to an all-pass offense? Run the ball and pass once in while to keep the defense in check, isn't that how we have played in the past with Taylor? And when you do ask your non-passing QB to pass pretty much pass the entire game and as he starts to lose confidence and throw pics, wouldn't you run a few safe running plays until he regains some momentum? Again, I am just not one to blame the players, most are trying 110% and if they are not good enough at their position, then that's on the coaches when it came to evaluating their talent, recruiting and teaching. I think not having Prince in the back-field is killing us, but again, I am just frustrated by the coaching staff and their decisions tonight. Nothing makes sense... I still have faith that we can regroup and excel this year but if we don't learn from tonight and make adjustments, it's going to one long, sad season.
