  1. What is that 60+ pages to two UCLA recruits? SHUT THIS THREAD DOWN!!
  2. All you had to do was look at the shape of the bill.... The kids like the flat bills these days....
  3. He's the new Gabbert/Freeman.... Good luck kid, seriously....
  4. in my opinion, and i will say this about any recruit, if they dont wanna compete then we dont want or need them. competition makes you better and if you dont wanna get better then go to Arizona imo. Agreed.
  5. Yeah. Why wouldn't it be? Hahahaha! Exactly what i was thinking....
  6. I think that one thing that seems to get overlooked when discussing Fuller's decision is Tommy Armstrong. How willing is Fuller to come in and compete with Armstrong. It probably weighs on his mind, that if Armstrong beats him out, he will never see the field as a QB at Nebraska....
  7. Do you own a smartphone? Allows for a constant virtual finger on the pulse of Huskerboard.... I like where your head is at. Unfortuantely, I've already specifically been informed that I will not be allowed to bring my Kindle to the game, unless I "don't want nice things to happen to me." GD blackmail... Thats too bad.... but try to make time to vote in the LB starting lineup thread.... A few solid choices in there....

  9. Dude, with all due respect, and I know that's used a lot but I really do mean this without trying to insult you... you're a moron.... no offense. Ya I'm the moron who's got full access to rivals and he (JT) just wrote something down about Curry. Rick Kaczenski (sp?) called the Curry family yesterday (Saturday) but Curry wasn't available. When Curry was available, he called back and didn't talk to Rick but instead talked to Bo. Seems like Nebraska is still pushing to get this kid especially Rick so either we VV isn't a lock or we lost out on someone else. There are a lot of rival members who think Curry is in and Fuller is gone but what do I know, I'm a moron, right? For preferring the combo of valentine and curry instead of fuller and valentine? Ya you are. Why because we lack depth at DT and does anybody honestly think Fuller would have a real shot at QB at Nebraska with Martinez having 2 more years? Fuller wants to play QB and I highly doubt he'll play QB within his first 2 years here. We only have 3 DT's returning who played quite a bit in 2011. We haven't seen Peat, Williams, Uher and we saw very little of Justin Jackson. Jay Guy did well last year in the spring game but struggled throughout the season with weight issues I believe and hardly played. I'm sorry but I'd take VV and Curry over Fuller because in my opinion they actually have a true shot at playing. Fuller wants to play QB and only QB and I don't see him playing QB at Nebraska. Would it be nice to get Fuller absolutely but I don't see it happening. I would say that we lack even more depth at the QB position. Martinez, Carnes, and thats it right now.... It would be great to have all three of them, but Fuller is the biggest need in my opinion.... I could also see it as a possibility to move Cameron Meredith inside next year.... No source on that, just a personal hunch about the situation....
  10. As a Husker fan I would assume that you wouldn't want to be right, but your actions speak otherwise....For the record I would say that 16 is the lowest we would get, no way that we stay at 14....
  11. Dude, why so upset? LOL I made my predictions... you guys said I was crazy, negative, etc. I said I was being realistic. Has absolutely nothing to do with being right or wrong. I've said many times that I HOPE that I'm wrong. I hope we get 'em all; I just don't think we will. Never have. You guys told me that these guys were "silent commits" and how we turned away certain others because we "didn't have room" etc. etc. I just felt that people thinking we'd get every one of the recruits on the board was unrealistic. Well, we'll soon find out, simple as that. Your continous posting of the same content, suggest that it does in fact, have something to do with you being right, or wrong....
  12. Dennard isnt a great passing QB, but he turns it on enough.... What he did in that final quartef against Notre Dame, in my opinion Taylor could never do that... Robinson is an effective player.... Anyways, It would be great to get Fuller, but that Armstrong kid looks pretty good too.... Close the class out with Peat, Valentine, Moore, and Shelton, and I'll be happy with it....
  13. Just of curiousity, what makes you think that? or is that just a feeling? Mostly just a feeling, but I will tell you that RichRod has done an amazing job recruiting Devin in a short amount of time. Pat White, and Dennard Robinson are good selling points.... Still don't think it would be the right decision for the kid....
  14. Bummer dogs ... but expected I suppose. Won't be a great close for us ... but still pretty darn good. I won't complain. Too bad the coaches thought otherwise and bumped Curry. Not sure if we can get him back or not. What is meant by "won't be a great close for us"? Who else did we miss on? It doesn't look like we get Fuller ... unless something changes soon. Don't know about Lambert ... so, I'm thinkin' Peat, Shelton, VV ... I'm 60% on Moore. A great close to me would have been to get Fuller and Goodman. It's still a good close ... although personally I'm really sick about losing Curry. I think the way things fell there ... well ... I think the staff will wish it would have fell differently. It's just too bad we can't oversign like the SEC schools ... we would have landed a few more guys that I think would have filled our pipeline better in several areas. Remember, I'm not an insider ... just a fan. Gonna have to hold you to those predictions anyways Peat, Valentine, Shelton, and Moore would be a nice close in my opinion....

  17. He definitely has the ability to be elusive in the open field. You have to wonder how Turner would feel if Fuller came in and got a real shot at QB....
  18. Whatever floats your boat....
  19. Conversations evolve.... You'll be alright....
  20. agree about denard's big play abilities, but it's worth noting that he had about twice as many picks as taylor did this year (despite fewer attempts) as well as a lower completion percentage. robinson definitely "looks" better when he plays, but i have a hard time saying he's the better quarterback. (had a hard time finding fumble stats for robinson to compare those, but i would guess that he comes out better than taylor there, though taylor did make significant strides in ball security this year.) Really?.... I find that very interesting, while I respect your opinion I couldn't disagree with you more on that. Dennard is mistake prone, but he has won a lot more games for Michigan then Taylor has for us. I just don't see it being that close at all. Look at it this way. How much better would be have been with Dennard Robinson? In my opinion we would have significantly better then we actually were. I am open for someone to try and convince me otherwise, it is a great topic....
  21. How'd I miss this topic? Too much time in the recruiting forum I guess. Game Manager = Unfortunate Best Option While I think that Taylor grew a lot in this department last year, I don't necessarily see him as a great game manager. A "game manager" is someone that doesn't let the game get away from them, and doesn't mess everything up for an offense. I feel that Taylor trys too hard to make the big play, he presses in difficult situations, and turns the ball over too much; all of those aren't traits of your typical game manager. When I think of game manager I think of Alex Smith (49ers), McElroy (former Bama QB), Joe Flacco (Ravens), and every Wisconsin QB prior to Russell Wilson (right Badger?)....
  22. They have started the same amount of years though (Robinson was a backup to the Forcier kid his freshman year). Martinez did a fine job managing the game for us last year, but he isn't going to win us many games with his play. The one game he looked great as a passer we lost (Northwestern).
  23. I like my QB's effective....I want the more effective QB, and Dennard is WAY more effective then Taylor.... I hope Taylor improves over the offseason, and I'm rooting for him, but right now give me Dennard, easily.... Not to stray off subject here, but Dennard has shifty speed, he has more mobility than Taylor does. Taylor has more straight line speed. Throwing wise i don't see much of a difference at all. Devin, from what i have seen, is more like Dennard than Taylor, when he gets out in the open, he makes defenders miss, while Taylor just runs and tries to run through the defender (or most recently slide). I don't think that Dennard is a great passer, but I find him better then Martinez at it. I am a Martinez fan, but when Martinez drops back you think " Oh Sh*t, don't throw a pick", or when he runs "Don't fumble, or get rocked by a Lb".... Dennard has a lot more big play ability in both areas (running, passing) then Martinez. That much seems pretty obvious to me.
  24. I like my QB's effective....I want the more effective QB, and Dennard is WAY more effective then Taylor.... I hope Taylor improves over the offseason, and I'm rooting for him, but right now give me Dennard, easily....
