    The Senate is currently invoking the so-called "nuclear option" to end debate on SCOTUS nominee Neil Gorsuch. It's a sad day for American politics.

      This has never been done for a Supreme Court nominee, a position that should have broad, not partisan, support.

       

      Still, this will be a net loss for the Republicans. Traditionally the filibuster has benefited them more than the Democrats. They just axed one of the best tools in their arsenal.
