  1. On the first day of practice, sophomore running back Braylon Heard worked with both the offense and the defense, Pelini said. “We'll see how things play out,” Pelini said. “He spent most of his time on offense today and we'll see how camp goes and how season progresses, but we're prepared to use him a little bit on defense if need be.” Everyone knows by now Klatchko is transferring due to "personality differences" Peat is not on the 105 due to a lingering back injury apparently "only part of it" Nebraska had several freshman walk-ons included on the 105-man roster for fall camp th
  2. I hesitate to post this because...well...mainly because it came from the OWH and Dirk Chatelain, but I saw this interesting link in his "Mad Chatter" column: And the Baseball America column has this to say about Sparty being picked over Wake Forest: I guess the question is, do you think we were close to an at-large (likely determined by Big 10 Tournament play), or is Dirk just trolling his readers (again)?

  4. To take a page from huKSer's book, I'm getting a jump on this thread to make sure the title is right. CSU Bakersfield Season Stats: http://www.gorunners.com/fls/13300/stats/baseball/2012/teamcume.htm Didn't realize CSU Bakersfield going to the WAC in 2013. Good for them. SOS for CSU Bakersfield is 175, their RPI is 163. Nebraska has a SOS of 97, with a RPI of 53. I have a feeling that this series and the Creighton win will help the Fighting Erstads get over their blues from losing the Purdue series.
  5. Thought I'd get this up since we're discussing non-con and conference schedules. I did overlook that we don't play Michigan State during conference play, which could hinder us if Michigan State is as they are projected to be (read: one of top three teams in the conference). *04/11/2012: Updated with info from BTN that they're going to broadcast the Cal State Bakersfield game originally for NET, but flagged in purple in case that info was an error on their part.
  6. Welcome to the HuskerBoard Starting Lineup – 2011. We'll spend the next month or so nominating and voting for our fellow users for positions on a "team" made up of representatives of what HuskerBoard is all about. This is your chance to give a pat on the back the folks you really appreciate around here – people whose information you've come to rely on, people whose posts you read on a regular basis, people with whom you love to discuss the Huskers and everything else we go on about around here. This is not a prize-oriented exercise, although those voted into a position will earn a sporty n
  7. We will lose tackle Hardrick & Jones along with center Caputo for next year. Who do you guys see starting next year on the O-line? Anyone heard anything on the young guys in Sterup, Givens-Price, Moudy, Reeves, or Klachko?
