Go ahead and delete this if I'm repeating someone else here, Mods, but can someone explain to me why we didn't use a timeout in the 3rd quarter? You all know as well as I do that Bo Pelini is NOTORIOUS for using timeouts on defense. He's done this since he got here, to the point where you want to tear your hair out sometimes. Here is the scenario: We lose some steam going into halftime, but still lead 21-10 AND we get the ball to start the 2nd half. Taylor misses a clear opportunity to run the ball on 3rd down to get some points on the first drive. Punt. UCLA TD - 8:21 left in the 3rd - (17-21) UCLA TD - 6:02 left in the 3rd - (24-21) ....now? ....no? ...okay... UCLA TD - 3:39 left in the 3rd - (31-21) ....nothing yet? ...okay... UCLA TD - 0:26 left in the 3rd - (38-21) ....welp, too late now... And you all know the rest. Can anyone shed some light on this? I've been racking my brain since the game ended trying to figure out Bo's logic on this one. I included a screenshot in case you guys don't believe me.

Brian Christopherson @HuskerExtraBC 20m All eyes on the money down: #Huskers were just 1 of 11 last yr on 3rd down against UCLA. One reason why Bruins had ball for almost 38 mins.

Looking to start a movement. Let's black-out the stadium against UCLA. I'm not talking about ruining our tradition and the Sea of Red. I'm talking about one game to set the tone for the season. The players will be wearing Black Alternate uniforms so why shouldn't the fans in attendance. Lets face it, the young Defense will need all the support it can get this year and what better way than to represent our Blackshirts. The Bruins wouldn't know what to think when they come here to play against what will be an athletic and fast defense with a crowd that could be more intimidating than we've ever imagined it can be. Even if you don't get the chance to attend the game itself I urge everyone to help spread the word towards the cause. Here is the facebook link to help promote this idea. Lets strike the fear of the Blackshirts into the Bruins. Go Big Red! https://www.facebook...77994085635266/

I feel kinda iffy about everyone automatically pegging us to go the Rose Bowl. Wisco is not going to lay down, and the first half of the game in Lincoln they were sticking it to us. The key was line play, as our D-line schooled their O-line (whole game) and our O-line wore their D-line & backers out (2nd half only). Has anyone noticed whether their line play has improved over the season? If so, it's not going to be the gimme that everyone thinks it is. And there's always the whole difficulty of beating someone twice in one year (Washington in 2010 comes to mind). If we do beat Wisco, then we have to sit through the whole possibility of a rematch against UCLA in the Rose Bowl...yikes.

California Huskers: Need To Sell My Ticket To The UCLA Game
uclahusker posted a topic in Classifieds
Hi, I bought a ticket to the UCLA vs. Nebraska football game on September 8th at the Rose Bowl. Unfortunately, I can no longer attend. The seat is located in Section 23, Row 61, near the aisle. I paid about $80 for it thru Ticketmaster. I need to sell the ticket and am just asking what I paid for it. I was really looking forward to this game as I am actually a Bruin but recently became friends with some Nebraska transplants, mostly from the Lincoln area but also Kimball. They're a fun bunch and would be sitting in the surrounding area. The adjacent seats are still available on Ticketmaster so if there were others in your party they could purchase those directly. If anyone here still without a ticket could consider buying mine I would greatly appreciate it. You can e-mail me at xuclarockerx@gmail.com or text me at 714-350-7234. FYI I found this site while looking for onsale date for the game. Thank you much.
