HSKRNOKC
Read this thread on F'ing hillbillies .com They are saying that uab is some major team and that they had the toughest team to open the season in the big 12 ... Link to soonerfans.com thread. Quote Link to comment
gamecocks
Wow, those hillibillies are pretty lame. They had a bad game and they can't admit to that. I suppose if they lost to Montana State they would claim that Montana State was a top ten team in DI. Quote Link to comment
ttheKid1*18
Wow. Then getting mad at people because they realize UAB isn't a good team. I don't think OU will be in Kansas City come December. Quote Link to comment
Licensed to Ill
Who cares? A win is a win. I'm sure Oklahoma will do better late on in the season. I don't see why they're so offensive after a win... Quote Link to comment
HSKRNOKC
Well if a few plays would have gone different they could have easily have had the same result as the TCU game last year. To sum it up.... I smell fear! Quote Link to comment
bornNUred
They better be heads up for an improved Washington team next week in Norman. Quote Link to comment
HuskerfaninOkieland
OU fans have blinders on right now. They don't want to come to the realization their team could struggle this year. To the Sooner fans credit, this is on Fox Sports' website on the UAB team page: UAB has never played at Oklahoma in its 10 years of Division I-A football, but it's been in this position several times before. Just two years ago, the Blazers lost 16-13 at No. 4 Georgia even though redshirt freshman quarterback Chris Williams had to replace injured starter Darrell Hackney. In last year's opener, the Blazers lost 17-10 at No. 3 Tennessee, missing a chance to tie the game in the final minutes when Hackney's fourth-down pass sailed through the hands of a UAB receiver. (take the comment about losing to Tennessee for what it's worth considering how TN season ended) Still doesn't dismiss the fact Peterson had to bail them out in the 2nd half. If AD had gotten hurt or didn't play, there was a real strong possibility OU would have lost. Quote Link to comment
HuskerfaninOkieland
Oh and has anyone heard how the UAB doc is doing? One of the sideline docs was hammered when a UAB player ran out of bounds. From the replay, it looked like she didn't know he was on his way until another UAB official stepped out of the way. By then it was too late and she was layed out flat on her back. They carted her off on a back board and neck brace (merely precautionary) but she took a heckuva hit. Quote Link to comment
