AgMarauder04
To ALL visitors... If you can, make it to midnight yell practice at midnight at Kyle Field the night before. (When you hear the Ags yell "Beat the Hell outta NU!" don't take it personal. It's a lot of fun. Bring a date to mug down with when they turn the lights off. About 2 hours before the game, the Corps steps off from the quad. It's pretty damn cool. I would see if you can check that out. Tailgating spots are first come-first served in the many parks and green spots around campus. The Duncan Drill Field on George Bush Drive is where most of the visiting teams tend to tailgate. The Zone and the A&M sports museum is great. Definitely see it. Check out the MSC, right across the street from the stadium...just please stay off the grass and take your hats off indoors. It's a war memorial. Food...FREEBIRDS. I'll say it again, FREEBIRDS. It's like a chipotle, but MUCH MORE variety and better. Huskers who have a hankering for home will be pleased to know that there is a Jimmy Johns in College Station. If you're a chicken fan, Layne's on Texas across from the campus near Best Buy is great. Lastly, Friday night before yell, go to NORTHGATE. Series of bars on the north side of campus. Wear your Husker gear, I bet people buy you a beer. Defninitely go to the DIXIE CHICKEN. If you want shots, Dry Bean and 315 are great bars. The Library is Martini Bar. Other than that, before game, there's LOTS to do on the plaza in front of the Zone. Have fun, and enjoy your stay in Aggieland!!! (This is posted in two places for all Husker making the trip. Gig 'Em!) Any other questions, I'll be here all week to answer any questions. It's a great place. Quote Link to comment
GR8NUFAN
Great overview - Thanks! On the tailgating - are there any issues with walking around the parking lots with beer and other drinks? Some places I have been are a littel touchy about sitting behind your car and cracking a few before kickoff. If you know, please confirm whether or not "public drinking" is an issue around the stadium in the parking lots. Thank you! Quote Link to comment
AgMarauder04
I've never seen it as an issue. A&M is still a wet campus. You should be fine. Quote Link to comment

Can you answer the question why the Aggies will lose???? GO BIG RED!!! That's pretty cool of you Ag04. Actually - very cool!!!!!! Just wanted too start a little pre-game fun talk. College Station is cool, all Aggies are pretty cool, and it should be a great atmosphere!!! Although some, including myself, believe Chipotle is far better than Firebirds! Gig 'em! Hukser POWER!!!
