jb61264
Does coach Callahan have some sort of nervous disorder?..trying to be serious here...he has this twitch with his mouth that is constant when they show him during a game... Quote Link to comment
ttheKid1*18
He's whistling. I always wondered that too, and I just found out a couple of weeks ago. Quote Link to comment
rawhide
My guess is just a nervous tick. Dr. T used to darn near start fires with chewing gum. Quote Link to comment

Seriously?....wow, if thats the case it's quite ironic because it looks like he is absolutely gripping with nerves when in actuality he is whistling and is as calm as can be go figure Quote Link to comment
ttheKid1*18
And it's weird because who is he whistling too? Maybe the guys upstairs or something?!? I don't know who, but he does it all the time. Quote Link to comment

Touchdown Tommie
It seems like all the coaches have some sort of "thing" they do. Whether it was TO chewing his gum, Holtz picking grass, to BC whistling. If I was major college football coach I am sure I would be convulsing on the field after a while..... Quote Link to comment

I don' tthink so, either. He's putting his tongue in his lower lip and opening his mouth like he's taking in "the atmosphere"... whatever that means. Or like he's really in need of some water. It looks downright goofy. Quote Link to comment

Hell if I were the HC at Nebraska, knowing that you are more popular and are expecting to do more then the State Legislature, I would have to wear a set of depends on the side line! rawhide
Tourette's is more where the affected person shouts or verbalizes inappropriate words or phrases. Usually at the most inopportune time too. meh Might be a OCD thingie. Or a unconscious nervous twitch. GBR Quote Link to comment
KSbugeater
I was told he makes different faces so noone can read his lips while he talks. I just thought he yawned and whistled alot!!! Quote Link to comment
