Wins Against Ranked Teams

What is the highest ranked team we have beat since Callhan's induction into Nebraska Football?

 

I see that Oklahoma is ranked 9th in the AP Poll this week.

 

Just Curious as I cannot remember all Wins in the Last Three Years.

ISU was ranked 23rd when they came to Lincoln last year and A&M was 24th....we have played about 10 top ranked teams in the 3 years hes been here

Well, let's beat the Sooners and propel ourselves into a respectable ranking.

Then go beat up some Broncos and place ourselves back into the national spotlight for next year.

Win the last two games...simple enough!

I don't know what Michigan was ranked but weren't they in the 20 somewhere last year?

michigan was 20th last yr.. lets compare that to Solich's best win once TOs recruite dried up.. Humm.. there are no top 25 teams solich beat in his last 2 years..

They were unranked at the time...they had just lost to Ohio State at home before the Alamo Bowl....But rankings aside thats prob by far the best we have beaten so far as far as talent and program prestige go

Why bring up Solich? I am pretty sure he has some wins against Ranked Teams considering he did play for the NC and had another Team that many believed should have played for it and was the best Team in the Country.

 

The Head Coach doesn't usualy close the majority of the recruits. It is usualy an assistant. Blake is the closer at Nebraska now and has done a great job. Osborne's Staff wasn't known for being a great recruiting staff. They were known for developing talent, especialy out of walkons.

 

The dogging of Solich is getting old. It's been 3 years since he left. He has took one of the worse teams in their conferance and has them at 9-3 and playing for the conferance championship in his 2nd year. He'll be Coaching in a BCS conf again if he chooses too. My guess would be at a Big East or Big 10 School.

not sure on what they were ranked, but we beat Pitt callahans first year, and they went on to play in the fiesta bowl

Rankings don't matter for us anymore this year.

 

The only thing that does is quality of wins. It's too late in the season and since we're not competing for a NC, we don't need to worry about rankings. We just have to worry about beating the teams that are set in front of us.

 

OU this weekend...then a BCS bowl.
