That would be the opposite of his SUCCESSOR, who took a perennial winner and turned them into...well...a decent MAC team. Steinbrenner fired Billy Martin how many times, yet brought him back? That bridge has been burned, and the damage and ridicule that our program would be subjected to if he were rehired is enormous. Yeah, I didn't like it when Solich got fired. I thought he deserved more shots. But I'll support the team whatever comes, and I like Callahan a lot - this is where we are now, and our future is looking bright. I like Callahan anyway, Solich was a decent coach, but had the same gameplan for every oppenent, and when he lost he lost big. Link to comment
