dbetz23
On College Football Live Final, Holtz said Coz has nothing to do with our defensive struggles. WTF! May and Holtz argued back and forth, it was funny. Quote Link to comment
EbylHusker
Yeah, Holtz was a bit off with that one. Quote Link to comment

NU Fan
You got that right. Coz a good Def cordinator At least Mark May said something right Quote Link to comment
NPhusker
I didnt hear the whole argumen but Holtz was saying that the players have to have some respect for each other and even if they dont beleive in what the coaches are saying need to step up and play hard anyway. At the end of the conversation Holtz said that this falls on everyone indicating that it is also partly the players fault along with the coaches. This is somewhat true but our coaches need to take probably about 80% of the blame, and our players need to jsut step up and play for pride instead of playing for the coach. Quote Link to comment
EbylHusker
Basically what happened was he went on a rant, then May disagreed with him and made him look a bit foolish, then Holtz took his foot out of his mouth and reworded his statement at the end. Quote Link to comment
MCAT800
It's a coaches thing, we can't understand it. Quote Link to comment

schestev
It's the whole staffs fault. I wouldn't keep any of them on the new staff. Quote Link to comment
strigori
I actually agreed with everything Mark May said.... is it the apocolypse? Quote Link to comment
maryland husker
You all missed the best part of this back and forth. At the very end Holtz said that part of the responsibilty also falls on....gulp....the FANS!?!?!?!?! "You've got to be a lot more patient" was his exact words. Thankfully, both Rece and May pooh poohed that as nonsense. Quote Link to comment
