hack
linkage turns out bob stoops and jay norvell have a history together: both played for Iowa in the 80s. it sounds like bob was just waiting to see how things would pan out for jay at purdue (sounds like he interviewed for the job). jay norvell would be filling kevin sumlin position for the sooners as a running backs coach. Bleeding Husker Red
Hmm... a guy with no previous play calling experience before UCLA, then only produced the 92nd ranked offense in the country.... Yup, good fit for OU. Hire him. hehehe.... GBR Quote Link to comment
HuskerfaninOkieland
Yeah I'm not sure this was such a good hire for OU. When Norvell left for UCLA I figured we'd see UCLA's offense do real well since Jay didn't have Cali breathing down his neck. But after seeing the Bruin offense struggle, I'm not so sure Norvell is a good coach. Only one way to find out I guess. Quote Link to comment
T_O_Bull
This guy seems to move alot and after his previous "15 mins." in Norman why would they want him back? Another negative is just the fact that Cally hired him. I'd stay as far away from him as I could. >>>T_O_B Quote Link to comment
ironmike
Our chances of beating OU next year have improved dramatically. He will take that nice offense with the power running game and screw it all up with motions shifts, etc. Welcome to 5 delay-of-game penalties each week OU! Quote Link to comment
