Roxy
I made the cherry slices yesterday and they are very good. I want to make these hushpuppies..they sound good to me....Go Big Red:) Cherry Slices: 1 cup butter-I used Blue Bonnet Margarine 1-3/4 cups sugar 4 eggs 1 tsp. vanilla Beat all the above together in a mixer. Add gradually: 2-1/2 cups flour pinch of salt 1-1/2 tsp. baking powder. Beat well & spread on a large cookie sheet-SAVE 1-1/2 CUPS BATTER FOR THE TOP. Spread 1 can cherry pie filling over the dough. Using a spoon, drop the reserved dough on top & spread out using a knife. Bake at 350* for 40 minutes. While this is baking, make a powdered sugsr frosting. Frost the cherry slices while still a little warm. Powdered Sugar Frosting: I used a little more than 3 cups powdered sugar-go by looks of it 1-1/2 tsp.s vanilla 1/3 cup margarine or butter-I used Blue Bonnet margarine milk-just eyeball it Mix all in a mixer till smooth and creamy. Wild Bill
Come on, single guys! What are you waiting for?!?!? Finding a woman who can, and will, cook for you is somewhat rare in the year 2008. Start flirting with 9ers Gal. PM her, tell her where you live, what you do, your other hobbies besides eating and where you'd like to take her on a first date. Get t' goin', fellers! You're not getting any younger! She's even got Husker dinner plates on which to enjoy those fine meals! Quote Link to comment
BigRedfxtoy
Man, your receipe's are A** kickin! I think they should have there own thread. For two reasons I can come up with. (The first two) 1. So, I won't have to look everywhere and search and fail half the time to find them. 2. You have a ton of them and we might even get more of them that way. Quote Link to comment
