Axl_sued_me
I didn't see it cause was at the game. But I heard that he was indirectly dissing the old staff. Quote Link to comment
motorboatjonesNU
The only part I heard (due to being in a loud bar) was when he was talking about meeting John Wooden, saying Wooden told him you can only control how your prepare. If you prepare the right way and do the right things, usually the results will take care of themselves. So yes.. In Oz-speak, that's basically dissing how the last staff prepared. If anyone has more to add, please do. I was going to start this topic myself. Thanks, Axl for hitting it first! Quote Link to comment
hack
So yes.. In Oz-speak, that's basically dissing how the last staff prepared. TO would never do that. he's merely making observational statements that may or may not be applicable to last year's staff. purely coincidental, i'm sure. Quote Link to comment

I only heard that one part - and of course, TO would never go on record to say "the last staff sucked," or something of that nature. TO dissing something would be, "I'm not sure how much attention was paid to that." Maybe "dissing" isn't the right word. I missed the exact context of his Wooden comments, but it seemed like he was relating something about last year's record to the quality of preparation. Quote Link to comment
Street Novelist
T.O., no matter how badly things get, would never "diss" someone. The man is too humble and down to earth to do something like that. Quote Link to comment

hskerprid
The Cervante's quote was "The greatest foes, and whom we must chiefly combat, are within" It alludes to self. Quote Link to comment

I heard he was quite the trash talker back in Hastings. (Not all saints are born that way). Quote Link to comment
HuskerfaninOkieland
I caught most of it and it basically entailed the same thing he's been saying since he signed on as AD: return to traditions; effort on the players part is more important than winning (cervantes reference)...Pretty much the same thing he's been saying all this time.
