Ohio Pete
More of the same from ESPN: DE Michael Buchanan weighing options Defensive end Michael Buchanan (Homewood, Ill./Flossmoor) has made three official visits. Buchanan, one of the top prospects in the state of Illinois that has not yet selected a college, has made trips to Illinois, Purdue and Vanderbilt. His most recent visit was to Purdue when the Boilermakers defeated Indiana. "It went real good," Buchanan said. "It was coach (Joe) Tiller's last game so everything was upbeat. I liked the coaches and being around the players. I liked the environment." Buchanan said all three of his official visits were good experiences and all three schools are still in the running. "I have different impressions from each visit," Buchanan said. "I'm not sure I liked one of them best. But I would say Purdue and Illinois are my two favorites." Buchanan will likely make at least one more official visit. He would like to head to the West Coast and visit Cal. If he takes a fifth visit it will likely be to Nebraska or Michigan State. Buchanan has scholarship offers from all of the schools on his list except Michigan State. "I think I'll wait until around signing day to pick a college," he said. Quote Link to comment
