HANC
I may be way out of the loop, and I am sure there is an obvious answer that I am unaware of, and I apologize in advance, but what happened to Blake Lawrence? Didn't he start a few games last season. Tonight on Big Red Wrap Up, someone questioned our LB depth with Dillard being out, and mentioned Lawrence......then Adrian Fiala (NU color man) put in his two cents and never mentioned Lawrence at all. He said that Koehler, Holt (2 walk-ons) and LaTravis Washington would be the guys who will fill in at OU. He didn't even "touch" on Blake Lawrence. What have I missed? Thanks Quote Link to comment
Red Storm Brewing
Me thinks it is because Blake has been an outside LB ever since he has been here and is probably gonna be looking at reps IF Wortman goes to middle. But that is my two cents, however Boomer Sooner probably will dictate what happens with our LBs with how they line up offensively. That what makes them so damn good on O. They can spread ya and let Bradford pick you apart or pack it in and steamroll ya down the field with Murry and Brown. Must be rough. I look for us to open in the nickel package with Haag, and LBs of Glenn and Holt, let Cody chase Finley around. Quote Link to comment
Red Storm Brewing
Sorry double post, and I met Gresham not Finley. Quote Link to comment
melscott62
good question. the kid looked like a sure thing coming in.... similar to Wald but bigger (and better) Quote Link to comment
zoogs
Lawrence is backing up Glenn if I'm not mistaken. Also, I don't think he started last year (with 4 guys ahead of him, not including Dillard in the middle...unless there were injuries I don't remember). He's played some this year..started for Glenn against Tech, no? Quote Link to comment
