He takes a flat out rumor that no one besides him has been able to hear and runs an article based off of it. Will Shawn get some HC looks? Of course. But you are a writer for Nebraska. Why in the heck would you give cannon fodder to other coaches who will damm sure use this against us? Watson has not even been mentioned for any HC jobs yet, but Sipple decides out of the blue he wants to bring up Shawn's name for everyone else. Gilmore is already rumored to be departing. People are slinging around unsubstantiated rumors about Ekeler. And now Sipple gives us Watson. Other coaches are gonna be happy to tell guys like Burkhead, Giles, McBurse and other guys that these guys may be recruiting you but what are the chances they are gonna be there as long as you are?
