pigsonthewing
so coach callahan has received a verbal commitment from QB Josh Freeman from Missouri and WR Menelik Holt from California. Now that we have recruited a six foot six inch tall beast who rivals.com and some other schools think should be a TE, what do you think will happen with Cate? Will he still be a target for QB? Anybody know if Nebraska is still in his list of schools? Quote Link to comment

As stated in another thread, it appears NU will not take anymore QB's...Care appears to be the odd man out Quote Link to comment

HuskersGJ
Should have been him instead of Freeman!!! Bummer. that is the most frustrating part of decommits to me. they changed their mind, ok, it happens- but they also possibly screwed the chances of the coaches getting someone else. The coaches trust these kids and call off the dogs in going after other recruits- then the trust is slammed by a decommit and its too late to go after to the "other" recruits. unfortunatly that's what college coaches get for trusting high schoolers with a major decision, or 20-somethings with a high school maturity level. Freeman -> Cate Palmer -> maybe Davis? Quote Link to comment
