husker B-rent
Coming from an option offense at Bayshore High School in Bradenton, Fla., Washington said the biggest adjustment so far this spring has been to throwing the ball with frequency. "I come from an option offense. That's all we did 99.6 (percent) of the time," he said. "This is really new to me, throwing the ball like this, throwing 1,000 balls every day. So it's kind of new to me." He wasn't the first to talk about his throws this week. There have been rumblings from NU receivers about the speed of his ball. That's a part of the package, said Washington, who also admitted to breaking the fingers of three receivers in high school. "I don't try to break people's fingers," he said with a big laugh. "I don't take that in pride, breaking people's fingers. That's not me. I feel like sometimes you got to put the ball on them. That's my thing. If the ball's got to be there, I'm going to put it where it's got to be." http://www.omaha.com/index.php?u_pag...u_sid=10603283 Quote Link to comment
