The shame/humiliation was too much to bear. The car crashed(Peugeot). Not a great loss(its french). She died in the crash with the murder weapon in her cold dead hand. Euthanasia? Come to think about it, it could have been considered euthanasia, he would have died anyway, but that's not why she killed him, she had a reason for murdering him. She took a knife and stabbed the man. She didn't leave the car or drop the knife when the police arrived. The police saw she had a knife and warned her to drop the knife or they would have to shoot in self-defense. She didn't drop the knife and was ultimately gunned down by the police.
