Overland Park Husker
its from a chant way back in the day. Mizzou-rah. School used to go by MSU and not MU. MSU gives you the Mizzou sound. Obviously a cheer from 100 years ago are lame by todays standards, but it was like i said MIZZOU- RAH! cleaver play on words for some guy back in the early 1900's and that my friend is why it is. The who welcome to the 'ZOU thing is about 3 years old. Its a play off MIZZOU. hope that shines the light' Fro, do you guys realize you sound like you ripped off the Mickey Mouse Club with your M-I-Z Z-O-U chant? I mentioned that to a Tigers fan at the bar in KC and he was shocked when I said it and then laughed cause he then realized it. All you need after the M-I-Z Z-O-U is M-O-U-S-E and it's complete. J_2_THA_BONE
Actually, I prefer "Mo". "Lawrence", KS = "Larry" "Missouri" = "Mo" CU = "CUrly" as in the three stooges that we have to play each season. LOL! Love it! Quote Link to comment
