typ3kal
Does Bo win the Home Depot Coach of the Year award if the Huskers win until the Big 12 champ game and lose to Texas yet win their BCS / High Tier bowl game or if they win out the rest of the season? Mangino won it in 2007, imo in the words of Kevin Garnet, "ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" Quote Link to comment
LouisianaHuskerFan
I bet Randy Shannon will end up getting it as long as Miami keeps playing as well as they are. Quote Link to comment

Sadly yes he will, the media loves him and Miami as well which doesn't help Bo's case. But! If Miami loses 1 or 2 more and we win out (wishful thinking) Bo has a good shot! Quote Link to comment

Mangino won it in 2007, imo in the words of Kevin Garnet, "ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" If Cincinnati goes undefeated and plays in the NC, Kelley (sp) probably wins the award. If Saban beats Florida and wins the NC, the award probably goes his way. If Bo is to win it, neither of the above can happen. I also think it will take winning the Big 12 Championship for him to win it as well. Whether its right or its wrong, Nebraska will always be viewed in a different context than a team like Kansas was when Mangino won it. It didn't matter that KU had the weakest strength of schedule in the country. It had been so long since KU was relevant which is why Mangino won it. Plus, Nebraska was picked to win the northern division. When Mangino won it, the KU AD pretty much gave Mangino an ultimatum prior to the season saying we go bowling or you're done. KU didn't have many/any expectations before their season. This is another reason Shannon could win it over Bo. Miami was picked preseason to lose like 3 of their first 4 games. Quote Link to comment
