Nexus
Our boy Sticks will be out the rest of the Spring. Same foot that Suh mangled in enraged fury six months ago. So for the rest of spring, it’s Potts, Doege, and Karam. Tough to put a good spin on this. The offense is the same in principle (formation, terminology), but very different in execution. So, um, the key to winning the postition is being better at execution, which you get from practice. That’s right. We’re talking about practice. Shut up. If Sheffield comes back in the fall and wins the job after missing so much install time, then we’ll know he’s the one. My fear is starting off the season with Potts while everyone is thinking, “Sticks just needs to catch up. He’ll be playing soon.” That would suck. Was it Madden that used to say, “If you have two starting quarterbacks, you have no starting quarterback”? I feel like a UT fan during the Simms-Applewhite years. LINK Quote Link to comment
