formerfan
Even during live drills in the spring, where he had our D line, which AVERAGES 290 LBS! bearing down on him, he was able to make solid decisions. He was wearing a green shirt (no contact). Once he takes a hit or two, we well see how much poise he has when he hears footsteps. Quote Link to comment
formerfan
It scares me that the only schools that were recruiting this guy was memphis and marshall. Pennington and Leftwitch came from Marshall. So did Moss. Memphis has a RB that will be a Top 10 Draft pick next year.(might have been this year if he would of come out early) Does that mean that every RB to come to NU is as good as Rozier, Phillips and Green??? And not every WR recruited by Miss Valley St is gonna be another Jerry Rice, either. Past players vs. recruits' expectations is a meaningless argument. Quote Link to comment

Just trying to point out that the Marshall coach might know a thing or two about QB's. Also that thoughs two teams hhave(had) some talent so it probably isn't bad that he was being recruited by them. Kind of like Rutgers was the only going after Daily Really, then how did JD end up on scholly at UNC???? Good for UNC to hand out schollys for someone to hold a clipborard Quote Link to comment
StuckinChicago
That is why I said spring and not fall former... In spring he participated in live contact drills in which he didnt wear a green shirt, and got plastered quite a few times. This fall he has worn a green shirt, most likely because there is no experience behind him. Quote Link to comment

StuckinChicago
Nope, during much of the spring he was involved in live contact drills sans green jersey. Quote Link to comment
rawhide
Coach Norvell said he wanted to see how the qb's reacted to getting knocked around and ZT didnt get rattled after a couple of face plants. Quote Link to comment
