Memorial Stadium

Since Osborne is a Dr in Psychology, Pelini really should consult with him about how to get his team up for games. While there were occasional misfires here and there under Osborne, you really could count on his teams to have the right focus for the game. Even when we were out-manned and lost, we generally got the effort that his players were capable of giving. His players were almost always focused. Pelini needs to develop that ability as a head football coach. This up and down mentality from week to week is just killing us.

Great call, Paul in WI. Seems like a long time since we were damn near impossible to beat in Memorial Stadium. Wasn't there like a string of 50 straight we won at home...a couple times while TO was coach?

47 straight in his last few years. Then Solich took over in 1998, and guess who snapped the streak...

I know, I know. I was there to experience that heartbreak too. But, that's not where we're going with this little discussion. The point is Bo should get some of TO's wisdom on how to take full advantage of the amazing atmosphere and incredible fan support on the home field. There are few things during TO's coaching days that I was more proud of than knowing every time Nebraska played in front of the home crowd it was a guaranteed victory.

Yeah, they need to fix it. Somebody in the press needs to push Bo on this point too. I know Bo wants to say that it doesn't matter where you play, but there's a clear pattern of him losing in October, and losing at home. It's as clear as our fumble patterns or dropped passes patterns. If there's a problem you need to fix it, and Bo might pop a vein at whoever does it, but somebody should hold his feet to the fire on this issue.

We have no advantage at all at home. Players come out flat for every home game it seems like. Big 10, just give us all away games please!

If we play like this the B10 is going to eat us for lunch.

Especially if Wisconsin plays like that against us in Camp Randall next year. They looked tough as nails

They would've absolutely gashed our D today.

Say what you will about the Big 10 and their speed. They got some tough guys running out there. Even Whitaker impressed me with his power running. Our guys just seem to go down whenever they are hit.

No doubt about that. Clay is a perfect fit for that style of offense-the guy runs with a purpose.
