treeeman
May have been ugly, but Nebraska beat the Cyclones with their 4th string QB (Burkehead) and a couple of backups on defense. Quote Link to comment
mmmtodd
agree wholeheartedly. with the implosion that is the Big 12, any team should be happy with a W. a win is a win. ask bama. or texas. or oklahoma...goes on and on. Quote Link to comment
Glendower
Burkhead should be more of a co-second string QB. Put him and Helu together in the backfield (and maybe a fullback, too, and just do a power I) when a running game is working really, really well. Quote Link to comment
Nhusker23
Isn't our 4th string technically senior Latravis Washington? Makes me wonder if Green was seriously hurt if Burkhead would of run the Wildcat the rest of the game or if Bo would have put Latravis in there (or possibly TMart). We played pretty dang well for having 2 QBs and a few defensive players out. Quote Link to comment
JTrain
We need to add some plays to our Wildcat set. We can run all kinds of stuff with Martinez at WR, bring him around on a sweep pass, double pass, PA throw to him downfield, etc. Rex seems incredibly reliable for as few snaps as he must get in practice. deedsker15
i still think rex needed to throw the ball once just to piss isu off...if ronnie brown can do it so can rex Quote Link to comment
