  1. The dude was running around naked and resisting arrest
  2. UNL has one of the RARE athletic departments that is profitable. Without Husker football, the whole department would be a drain like most other A.D's. If we should cut football and westling at UNO because they are a drain on the taxpayers, we better start looking at cutting all sports at the highschool level. I never knew that Husker Mens: Golf, Gymnastics, Swimming, Basketball, etc were turning profits. Don't kid yourselves, this is all politics and the powers that be are scared of little UNO taking anything from Husker football.
  3. Regents to TO: So you want an addition to the stadium, how big a check do you need? Regents to Trev: D1 football might compete with the Huskers. UNO would keep all the Omaha fans from driving to Lincoln. Maybe you should cut football.
  4. I'll be happy to play .500 ball in the new conference
  5. I'll be there. Look for me, I'll be in red.
  6. May have been ugly, but Nebraska beat the Cyclones with their 4th string QB (Burkehead) and a couple of backups on defense.
  7. How can he be hurt one day, fine the next, and now be a game time decision? Sounds a little like Synder
  8. I agree, hate to say it, but the friday game on national TV really put the Huskers on the map
  9. If you want a bla**out, move to boulder
  10. With the Big 10 & Pac 10 going to 12 members, and the SEC having 12 members, is all of this the start of college football playoffs. Imagine if the Big 12 got back to 12 teams, so they could have a CCG. How hard would it be for the 4 conferences to have a 4 team, 3 game playoff? Texas, with the easiest conference, might be getting the last laugh.
  11. The big 10 is the most over rated league of all
  12. Dorsey is only about 5'10". Carl Peterson got caught up in the hype
  13. Crick would end up pretty low. With the current state of the NFl and players union mess, a large amount of juniors will be declaring for the draft. Next year is an uncapped year, and talk has been about a rookie fix pay scale.
  14. Rozier had great hands, and could cathc the ball out of the backfield.
  15. Updated: January 5, 2010, 8:21 PM ET NFL implements rule for playoffsComment Email Print Share By Adam Schefter ESPN Archive Before the playoffs kick off this weekend, the NFL implemented a temporary rule change that will prevent an instant replay of what happened earlier this season in the New York Giants-Philadelphia Eagles game. From now on, time remaining on the game clock will be reviewable but will be limited to situations in which time is deemed to have expired or not expired prior to, during or after the last play of the first or second half, or of an overtime half, according to a memo that NFL commissioner Roger Goodell sent to the 32 teams. The rule adjustment goes back to the Dec. 13 Giants-Eagles game. Just before halftime, Giants kick returner Domenik Hixon fumbled the football and Eagles linebacker Moise Fokou recovered, but the clock seemingly ran out. Replay evidence suggested there still was at least a second remaining, but replay rules did not permit the play to be reviewed. As Goodell wrote in the memo: "At the conclusion of the first half, time will not be restored if the additional play would be a kickoff, but would be restored if a timing error takes away a significant opportunity for the offensive team to score. At the conclusion of the second half or an overtime half, time shall be restored to the game clock if: (a) It is a one-score game (eight points or less); and (B) The additional play would be a kickoff by either team or a snap from scrimmage by the team that is behind in the score. The game would not be extended to create an additional play by the team that is ahead. For a review, the official time on the game clock will be superimposed on the video replay." This adjustment will be in effect only through the conclusion of 2009 postseason games; the Competition Committee will review it this offseason and make a recommendation about whether it should be kept or abolished for future seasons.

  17. Thank god, hopefully this will end the gill as OC threads
  18. I noticed that you left off Tom Walker, umpire, OMAHA, NE
  19. I noticed it, and also it was on the very FIRST PLAY. The Texeas coaching staff had the block called to purposely hurt Suh. This was the biggest crime.
  20. Who are the 4 pollsters who voted Texas #1 after the game last night?
