Big Ten Recruiting Changes

Recommended Posts

Mike Ekeler spoke this morning about changes in recruiting LBs because of the shift to the Big Ten. He says they're looking for a bigger middle linebacker and that they're getting in on those guys a little late this year. May not take many LBs this year, but wait til next year. Wants the right guy, not just a guy.

I'm curious if there will be any other shifts we see right away, or if Bo will just continue to tweak as he sees fit.

Eck has been known to say things to the media that aren't always true.

Not saying he's lying, but there's not much difference in who we've offered in 2011 and 2012.

Eric Martin came in at 216 as a recruit, and pushed up to 240 in a year on campus and is now moving to DE.

Pelini will recruit speed first with reaction and recognition following closely, and look for a frame that Dobson can add weight to the right way rather than recruiting 230-240 lb LB's that we have to pull weight off then add back the right way.
