Big 12 Power Rankings: Week 4

Recommended Posts

8. Nebraska Cornhuskers (6-2, 0-0)

Nebraska is 6-2? Looks more like a mid-season football record than early basketball. Nebraska overcame an 11-point first half deficit against in-state rival Creighton to win 59-54 on Sunday. Junior Brandon Richardson, who had a season-high 18 points, led the Cornhuskers in scoring. Nebraska’s offense is pretty evenly spread out with Lance Jeter being the only Cornhusker averaging double-digits in scoring (10.0). That said, NU is currently last in the Big 12 in scoring offense. But in this case, it’s kind of the opposite it is with Oklahoma State. They aren’t scoring a lot of points, but are second in the Big 12 and 17th in the nation in field goal percentage (.497), so that has to count for something, right? Plus, they’re winning those low scoring battles. Look for Nebraska to try and increase their winning streak alive as they continue to play at home through the week.

Games this week: 12/8 vs. Alcorn State, 12/11 vs. TCU

I'm pretty sure they arent that good. At least thats what I am hearing. We beat them last year by 13. By no means we should over-look them though.

This.

On a side note, did anyone see USC beat Texas by like 15? Awesome.

Was just gonna say that! Awesome! Too bad we couldn't hold on for another win in Puerto Rico.. woulda been nice.. It would be nice if we can keep winning the non-con games and play well in conference.. it'd be nice to do something this year to give us something to build on before moving to the Big 10.
