redout22
8. Nebraska Cornhuskers (6-2, 0-0) Nebraska is 6-2? Looks more like a mid-season football record than early basketball. Nebraska overcame an 11-point first half deficit against in-state rival Creighton to win 59-54 on Sunday. Junior Brandon Richardson, who had a season-high 18 points, led the Cornhuskers in scoring. Nebraska’s offense is pretty evenly spread out with Lance Jeter being the only Cornhusker averaging double-digits in scoring (10.0). That said, NU is currently last in the Big 12 in scoring offense. But in this case, it’s kind of the opposite it is with Oklahoma State. They aren’t scoring a lot of points, but are second in the Big 12 and 17th in the nation in field goal percentage (.497), so that has to count for something, right? Plus, they’re winning those low scoring battles. Look for Nebraska to try and increase their winning streak alive as they continue to play at home through the week. Games this week: 12/8 vs. Alcorn State, 12/11 vs. TCU Full Link Quote Link to comment

bball_backer
Looking forward to the TCU game. I think that game will tell us a little more. If this team is going to put together a decent year, it's more or less a must win. If they are going to go down the same path as last year then this is definitely a game they'll lose. Here's to hoping for a couple W's this week! Quote Link to comment
husker_hurdler
How good is TCU? (I don't want to just hear a record) Quote Link to comment
kansas husker
How good is TCU? (I don't want to just hear a record) Not great but they have bet USC (which is our best win also) but they have a pretty bad loss to rider. Quote Link to comment
redout22
I'm pretty sure they arent that good. At least thats what I am hearing. We beat them last year by 13. By no means we should over-look them though. Quote Link to comment

Too bad we couldn't hold on for another win in Puerto Rico.. woulda been nice.. It would be nice if we can keep winning the non-con games and play well in conference.. it'd be nice to do something this year to give us something to build on before moving to the Big 10.
